[Potlatch-dev] [OpenStreetMap] #4192: Power line voltage preset typo
#4192: Power line voltage preset typo ---+ Reporter: dcat | Owner: potlatch-dev@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: trivial| Milestone: Component: potlatch2 | Version: Keywords: | ---+ The select box for power line voltage has a small typo. The text for the 138000 volt choice has a label of 238 kV. It should be labeled 138 kV. I would also suggest adding a 500 kV choice as that is pretty common, at least in the U.S. -- Ticket URL: https://trac.openstreetmap.org/ticket/4192 OpenStreetMap http://www.openstreetmap.org/ OpenStreetMap is a free editable map of the whole world ___ Potlatch-dev mailing list Potlatch-dev@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/potlatch-dev

[OSM-dev] Direct Map to my Own tile server (brewmap)
Hi All, I want to build app like on :http://brewmap.maps3.org.uk/client/brewmap.html if on link above, map is from openstreetmap, but i want to direct map to my own tile server. Re: [OSM-dev] Direct Map to my Own tile server (brewmap)
Hi Anwar, If you have it running ok on your server, but want it to display your own tiles as the basemap rather than the default OSM tiles, you just need to change line 555 of brewmap.js. Ideally this would be in the BrewMap.cfg configuration file rather than being hard coded. I am happy to receive pull requests on github if you would like to change it to use a parameter in the configuration file! Regards Graham. Re: [OSM-dev] Getting information from relations.
On 01/22/2012 06:16 PM, Morten Olsen Lysgaard wrote: ... After some thinking I've landed on this. My project is going to need a tileserver in the future anyway, maybe it's time to start using that. Then new architecture would be: * Rails-Port to handle users and API * An OpenLayers component integrated in Rails-port that displays a tiled map * JOSM to edit the map * A tile-server that generates raster-maps based on the rails-port database * Some sort of application that answers to wfsGetFeatureInfo requests and returns all the tags and relations tags about objects. This last point is the missing bit, how can I achieve this? Do I have to code something from scratch or has anything like this been done before. Anything pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! ___ dev mailing list dev@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/dev
[OSM-dev] New release of snapshot server
Hi All, Snapshot Server is a rails app that can host .osm files and serve them out via map calls. The main use for this is to serve Vector Background Layers to clients like Potlatch 2 to help with mapping. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Snapshot_Server The latest release allows one installed version to host multiple projects, which is a huge gain and the single most asked-for feature. In addition, I've given the user interface an overhaul and there's a per-project breakdown of completion stats. You can see an example installation, being used for a UK-based cycling project currently in the demo stages, at http://gravitystorm.dev.openstreetmap.org/cnxc-snapshot/ . Code is available on github, and I'm happy to provide support and answer any questions. Thanks go to Cyclestreets for funding further development work last week. https://github.com/gravitystorm/snapshot-server I hope this will encourage more people to think background layer rather than bulk import next time they have an interesting .osm file to use! Hi, On 01/24/2012 12:11 AM, Philipp Borgers wrote: Could you explain your spatial requests? I had a quick look at [1] Seems like you only do spatial query on the nodes. I assume this is modeled after the map call in API 0.6 which does the same. Ways that have no nodes in the box (or, for example, closed ways that go fully around the box) are not considered. In the OSM database we do that because it is considered too computationally expensive to keep/query an indexed geometry for every way and relation. [josm-dev] Bug or Intentional
Hey All, When drawing ways there is no longer a line between the last point drawn and the mouse cursor. I found this useful in being able to follow where things connected as I drew. Is this a bug or intentional? If a bug I will happily fill out a ticket, I didn't see anything logged for this. This is in both the latest and the tested versions.
