It installs st and variants to a place it sees fit in your system, like /usr/lib/terminfo, or home directory. As you were consistently mute about your system and the environment in which programs fail on st for you, it would be *a lot* of work telling you what exactly to do for each system where st can be expected to work on. There are probably many. Btw, please avoid top-posting around here. cheers! mar77i
Re: [dev] [ st ] - 'visudo' has strange effect
Hi Quentin, Thank you for the response. I also discovered that the problem is with running 'vi' in st, as I have noticed 'vim' runs properly in st. Thinking that the problem is due to terminfo not installed correctly, if you could let me know how to correctly install terminfo, it would be great, as being a beginner I am not aware of how it could be done :) Appreciate your help! Other terminals like rxvt run it fine After running in st I am able to exit using the :q, so it does open however, does not render properly. On 10/30/16, Ali H. Hi You can just run 'visudo' in st and check if it does the job. Easy enough to check, isnt it? For me it simply doesn't fill the terminal with the /etc/sudoers in the editor instead it trying to fill after the current position of the cursor as I move the cursor up or down and the screen scrolls in doing so. [dev] [ st ] - 'visudo' has strange effect
Hi Suckless Group, I have come across suckless group quite recently and I really like the suckless philosophy. Being a beginner myself I hope I would learn a lot from the suckless code :) Coming to the point, I am using 'st' teminal and when I used 'visudo' command in it, it did not render properly. If you are unable to replicate the effect, please let me know I can provide more details on it. Regards, Zohaib Khan
