Only not full-screened Xpdf works as before, full-screened Xpd does
 not, as described.

I use an alias xpdff='xpdf -fullscreen'.

I'd hate that, because I'd have to type one extra space after xpdtab
:)

I'm sorry to disturb you again, but the fullscreen problem is still
here with mplayer. Even fstype=non in mplayer.conf still does'nt scale
the mplayer fullscreen window.

works here fine, without additional settings

2 monitor setup, one tilted (1024x1280), the other is svga (1024x768)
mplayer fullscreen wokrs on both of them with dwm 5.8.2
tested with videos with various size, tiled and floating windows as well

As I reported with Firefox before, also Xpdf's fullscreen behaviour

Xpdf seems even a little more aggressive. When in fullscreen, it uses
the entire screen, no matter what. Before, dwm was able to tile multiple
 fullscreen Xpdf clients.

i can confirm these observations

in tiled mode xpdf works as it used to, so i'm not terribly annoyed

i take this back

if i fullscreen an mplayer and change view it gets out of fullscreen
state, in case of tiled mplayer this can result in inconsistent states
(mplayer tiled but it's on top of the bar)

Thanks!

As I reported with Firefox before, also Xpdf's fullscreen behaviour
changed. The most obvious change is that both clients now also cover the
dwm status bar when in fullscreen.

Xpdf seems even a little more aggressive. When in fullscreen, it uses
the entire screen, no matter what. Before, dwm was able to tile multiple
fullscreen Xpdf clients.

Also, Xpdf doesn't allow any other client (like a terminal) to be in
front of it any more. Alt+Tabbing only switches between Xpdfs, the other
clients are counted, but ignored.

I guess, this is correct behaviour and not a dwm bug. From a user
perspective, Firefox and Xpdfs old behaviour were more user friendly,
though. But then again, all these programs (and especially Flash) do
*not* suck less.
