Re: Starting in traduction with mp-* example projects

2019-02-18 Thread César Hernández Mendoza
Hi Guillermo,

welcome to the mailing list!

Actually, you can create the JIRA's with your Apache JIRA account. What you
will not be able to do (and I also don't have permissions) is to update the
assignee field.
I created for you https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOMEE-2471 so you
can jump directly into the translation fun!

In the meantime can you please provide your JIRA username so any of the
JIRA admins can proceed to assign the ticket to you.

Looks like that was the case:

 -
https://github.com/apache/tomee-site/commit/f63f336f7f87d946a8cab9bf3f9eb11751bf6b4b

Here's the source file for the download-ng page:

 -
https://github.com/apache/tomee-site-generator/blob/master/src/main/jbake/content/download-ng.adoc

Not sure when it will show up online, but I created a README so if people find
the repo `tomee-site` they're pointed in the right direction:

 - http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/tomee/site/trunk/README.adoc

Hopefully this will help.

TCK Javamail

Hi folks,

sharing some advanced with TomEE TCK.
I've created that PR (https://github.com/apache/tomee-tck/pull/10) to fix
some test for JavaMail.

Before changes:
===

Completed running 112 tests (0:00:11.284):

Passed: 0
Failed: 112
Errors: 0

===

After the changes:
===

Completed running 112 tests (0:04:35.121):

Passed: 52
Failed: 60
Errors: 0

===

Still working on it. Seems that we need to have a mail server running to
run some test. Just looking if we can integrate the Apache James for that
cases.

   As an example to try out, improved docker-compose file.

   This docker-compose.yml file runs as non-root user (some tests depend on
this and fail if root). To enable that there is a utility (volume_perms) that
sets the file permissions to user 1000 which is the user id that runs the
builds/tests.

   Supported services:

   (Fail on first failure)
   docker-compose up build

   (Build all regardless of failures)
   docker-compose up build-all

   (No tests)
   docker-compose up build-quick

   (Wait for debugger to connect. Usually want to specify -pl parameter first)
   docker-compose up debug

Missing the M2 release on the site

2019-02-18 Thread Bruno Baptista

Hi Folks,

This is a dev follow up on the users email with subject "TomEE 8.0.0-M2
no more available on download site ?"

The download-ng page is generated and it might have been written
manually. Now, the generator was executed and replaced the M2 contents.

Were the M2 release changes made directly on the site?

Cheers.

Re: MicroProfile Integration in Plus and Plume

2019-02-18 Thread Roberto Cortez
Great analysis and explanation! Thank you :)

I think that having a scenario where you scan and use both scanned and app
resources might be tricky. We don’t control the application libraries, so we
may end up scanning more resources than the user actually wants.

We already know which endpoints we want to add and we already have the
tomee.mp.scan option to enable / disable MP. How about if we add the MP rest
classes in
org.apache.tomee.microprofile.TomEEMicroProfileListener#processApplication
before any logic and then let them be removed again with the logic of the
servlet root in /*?

Cheers,
Roberto
