Yes we do.. That is because for other service types, there's no way of
replicating the configurations without syncing meta files.

Is not synchronizing proxy service meta files an option here? In a SVN
setup that should be pretty easy. But on a registry based setup we need to
think it through.

 Hi Hiranya,

Charitha found this issue [1] which is related to syncing proxy service
configurations. Here's the root cause for this..

 * When security is applied for the proxy service in the RW node, it
updates the proxy.xml file and also the meta file
 * Deployment Synchronizer syncs the proxy.xml to RO node
 * RO node hot-updates the proxy.xml and in the process it touches the
 meta file
 * When DS tries to sync the meta file, a conflict occurs because node2
 has already touched it

This doesn't happen for AAR services because the original .aar file
never get changed when configurations are changed through the UI. So only
the meta file will be updated and synced.

We have to come up with a proper solution for this.

 Thanks,

But in some cases proxy services too will need the meta file. For example,
if caching module is engaged to the proxy service that information will
only be available in the meta file. Isn't it?

[Dev] Bamboo product build 106

2012-05-10 Thread Dimuthu Leelarathne
Hi all,

We can't do beta release with this.

Packs for Greg, AS and Manager are not available. Please refer logs at
http://wso2.org/bamboo/download/WSO2CARBON-PRODUCTS-JOB1/build_logs/WSO2CARBON-PRODUCTS-JOB1-106.log

BPS and DSS has a lot of test failures. We need to fix them immediately as
well.

ESB and AS has one test failure each.

Let's hold all other commits to the trunk. If you are committing please
make sure nothing breaks.

thanks,

Packs for Greg, AS and Manager are not available. Please refer logs at

BPS and DSS has a lot of test failures. We need to fix them immediately as
 well.

All DSS test failures are fixed now.

ESB and AS has one test failure each.

Let's hold all other commits to the trunk. If you are committing please
 make sure nothing breaks.

[Dev] Why dev-studio svn has lots of jars checked in

2012-05-10 Thread Supun Malinga
Hi,

Most of them are available in our m2 repos. Can't we simply download those
in build time?
It takes time to checkout with all the jars.

thanks,

Hi,

 Hi,

I also faced an issue with coordination core component. It was the same as
what Bamboo showed. [1] This component is located
 at platform/components/coordination/org.wso2.carbon.coordination.core. The
reason as I found was that this component doesn't have a pom associated.
So, although the bundle is generated, it's not installed to the m2 repo.
So, P2-profile-gen fails to find it.
Was there any recent changes to coordination core bundle?

Yeah, I did some changes when writing the new data sources components, I'd
to move the coordination-core to the carbon-kernel, and removed it from
components. I did a grep and modified several products which had the
coordination-core feature mentioned in the p2-profile. For some reason, it
seems I have missed some. Dinusha is looking into this now, sorry for the
inconvenience.

Cheers,
Anjana.
