Re: [Dev] Merging Jaggery with AS
We need a full round of testing to call this done-done. Need to test all samples in all of AS, Jag and MS. Need to deploy all of those into one running instance and test. Need to include all Jag and MS samples as part of AS integration tests Need to test all security aspects Need to do a profiling with all of AS, MS and Jag in place Need to do a performance test with all of AS, MS and Jag in place Need to test the cloud aspects, with Stratos service - meaning we need to test all above with cloud aspects in place The QA team is not available right now to do all these, hence AS + Jaggery teams need to own this. Please keep posted on the progress made. [Dev] Adding a Data Source using DataSourceInformationRepositoryService OSGi service
Hi, I tried $subject. Although I was able to add a DataSource the data source definition doesn't seem to get persisted so that it won't survive across server restarts and the added DataSource doesn't get listed in the Datasources page as well. Going through the data-source component code I see that there is additional logic to persist the definition to the registry in the datasource admin service eventhough it's not included in the OSGi service. I feel it would be beneficial the provide a comparable set of functionalities across the web service and the OSGi service exposed. Any ideas on this? I feel it would be beneficial the provide a comparable set of functionalities across the web service and the OSGi service exposed. Any ideas on this? Currently, it doesn't expose the functionalities that can be performed upon datasources except the access for DataSourceRepository. +1 for the suggestion. Yes. [Dev] Update on OpenStack + Jclouds
Hi all, We were able to get an LXC instance started and running in OpenStack, via OpenStack Dashboard. Also, we could successfully logged into those instances via SSH (From the same environment, where OpenStack is installed) Earlier we encountered some issues in installing and configuring OpenStack in Ubuntu 11.04, so as of now, it is with Ubuntu 12.04 we could get it working. As the next steps we are working on Jclouds+OpenStack integration, so that LXC instances can be managed programatically. Is the JSP used for this uses the encoding (e.g: %@ page contentType=text/html; charset=UTF-8 pageEncoding=ISO-8859-1 %) ? Can we fix the @page declaration of JSPs in the Registry and Governance components to match the following, recompile, and test, %@ page contentType=text/html;charset=UTF-8 language=java pageEncoding=UTF-8 % Hi Senaka/Vijitha, I tried this but doesn't work. OK, but I think we still need to do that. I mean all JSPs not just one or two. I found following solution and it works fine. new String(request.getParameter(Overview_Provider).getBytes(ISO-8859-1)); I don't think that's a good solution. We shouldn't be needing to use ISO-8859-1 to retrieve the bytes. Now the resource URL contain the non-utf-8 characters therefore can't open it. It can be resolve adding following property to catalina-server.xml. URIEncoding=UTF-8 We can do that if needed. Thanks, Senaka. Thanks Ajith Thanks, Senaka. But same thing working fine in branch (3.2.3 branch, In G-reg 4.1.1). Thanks Ajithn -- Ajith Vitharana.
