[Dev] [Appfactory] Deploy ESB application from Appfactory

2013-05-15 Thread Shamika Ariyawansa
Hi,

Our initial thought was to deploy synapse.xml from appfactory to S2.
This works fine with super tenant. But as we have been informed by the ESB
team that deploying the synapse.xml will not work with multi-tenancy as it
does not get split up to proxy-services, sequences etc. Instead we have to
deploy whole directory structure separately.

To do that we may have to create a new archetype for ESB applications
containing the synapse folder structure so that the folders get
deployed separately. As there is no version concept being involved for ESB
type applications this looks fine.

Can we get the idea how the developer studio handles this problem too.

Right now when a Developer want to create an ESB artifact (e.g: A Proxy
service) in developer studio, first they have to create an ESB Project
which contains a similar structure to Synapse Repository.

So when a user creates the proxy service, we create the xml file for the
proxy service in the correct folder of the project.

This allows us to directly exporting the project and merge with a current
Synapse repository and deploy the artifacts user created.

So creating the ESB Config project like structure makes sense and you can
get the sample from Developer Studio ESB config project.

Also it is a must to have the same structure in App Factory archtype as in
Dev Studio since Dev Studio is used to develop the actual artifact after
the App Owner has created the project.

So +1 from me for the Archtype based on Dev Studio ESB Config Project.

Thanks and Regards,
Harshana

Re: [Dev] [Appfactory] Deploy ESB application from Appfactory

2013-05-15 Thread Harshana Martin
Another important fact to have the project is that, it does not make sense
to have an App Factory Application with just a Proxy or a Sequence, etc.
Synapse Language constructs can be used in conjunction to create a
meaningful Synapse config.

Harshana

Hi Shamika,

Please note that this required change has been done in r171867.

Earlier the sample ESB archetype that has been created by AF was just the
synapse.xml. Now I have changed the maven archetype in a way that it
generates the entire ESB synapse directory structure as a sample ESB
application.

Thanks

Hi Shamika,

In BPS, we are exposing a web service similar to data services, so launch
will provide you links to WSDLs. But in ESB artifacts, we can have many
types not only proxy services. I think for initial step, we should try out
proxy services and demonstrate working sample and move forward.

thank you.

 Hi,

Our initial thought was to deploy synapse.xml from appfactory to S2.
This works fine with super tenant. But as we have been informed by the ESB
team that deploying the synapse.xml will not work with multi-tenancy
as it does not get split up to proxy-services, sequences etc. Instead we
have to deploy whole directory structure separately.

To do that we may have to create a new archetype for ESB applications
containing the synapse folder structure so that the folders get
deployed separately. As there is no version concept being involved for ESB
 type applications this looks fine.

Can we get the idea how the developer studio handles this problem too.

After reading the following thread [1] i could get this resolved by

there a permanent fix available for this?

Thanks!

[Dev] Issue in the org.wso2.carbon.event.core while getting subscription path

2013-05-15 Thread Malinga Purnasiri
Hi,

In the RegistryTopicManager.java class, inside getSubscriptionsPath(String)
method there is an issue. Which will lead to erroneously deleting the
Topics in the MB.

In there it only checks EB_CONF_WS_SUBSCRIPTION_COLLECTION_NAME
("ws.subscriptions"). But if we
have EB_CONF_JMS_SUBSCRIPTION_COLLECTION_NAME = "jms.subscriptions", it
wont check that condition.

Shall i go and fix it or its as designed ?

Re: [Dev] [AppFactory] Delete a repository branch in AppFactory

2013-05-15 Thread Gayan Dhanushka
Hi all,

Completed implementing the git branch deletion functionality in the maven
scmManager API. Did a sample test run and it works.

Need to update the Appfactory RepositoryManagementService to consume the
newly written method and update the jaggery-apps to call the backend.

Thanks!

[Dev] [Important] Issue in trunk when referencing carbon taglib uri

2013-05-15 Thread Hasini Gunasinghe
Hi,

So far, the taglib uri "
http://wso2.org/projects/carbon/taglibs/carbontags.jar"; with
prefix="carbon" has been mapped to carbontags.tld in org.wso2.carbon.ui
bundle. This was working fine till kernel 4.0.7

However, in latest trunk, the above uri is referenced to carbontags.tld
in jstl_1.2.1.wso2v1.jar.

Therefore, any updates we do in org.wso2.carbon.ui tag definitions, do not
get effected when referenced with the same above uri.

Could some one please clarify why the carbontags.tld is duplicated
inside jstl_1.2.1.wso2v1.jar and referenced with the same uri?

Due to this issue, the UI functionality of IS related to new updates in
carbon.ui is broken. Therefore, we need to fins a solution for this asap.

Thanks,
Hasini.

[Dev] Tenants created from one node cannot login to other node even we have share the same user-store between two nodes

2013-05-15 Thread Dinusha Senanayaka
Hi,

We have shared the same user-store and permission-store between APIM
publisher and gateway nodes.. But the tenants created from publisher node,
cannot log into the gateway node. But, if you log in to the gateway using
the super admin , tenants that created from the publisher can be seen under
'view tenants' in gateway.

If we mount the Gov: registries of two nodes then, tenant created from one
node can login to other node as well.. Why do we need to mount registries
to tenant login other than sharing the user store ?

Regards,
Dinusha.

[Dev] Data service support in Appfactory

2013-05-15 Thread Ashansa Perera
Hi,
We are adding the data service application support in appfactory. As the
first step we will be creating a data service archetype which contains a
datasource reference and app creation time we are creating the datasource
programmatically.

Since this is a sample we came to a conclusion to refer a single global
database than creating each for an application. After app creation, if
needed, user would be able to change the database reference as required
from AF UI.

Application launch will direct you to the wsdl of the deployed service

Re: [Dev] [DEV] [Appfactory] ESB Cartridge Integration with Appfactory

2013-05-15 Thread Shamika Ariyawansa
Hi,

I have configured puppet script and now new EC2 instance getting started
with ESB server. Then it gets joined to the ELB and the esb mgt console can
be accessed via the url given while starting the server. But still i cannot
log in to the ESB Management console. This must be the problem with user
store configuration. I integrated as it is with the AS. When i check the
logs, following message was printed while starting the server.

Re: [Dev] Tenants created from one node cannot login to other node even we have share the same user-store between two nodes

2013-05-15 Thread Shariq Muhammed
Hi Dinusha,

We store some information like activation flags etc in the registry, so you
need to share the registry. In a typical deployment the pattern is to share
the governance registry across all the services (AS, DSS, ESB) etc and
share the config registry across the service cluster .. as in share the
as_config across all the AS nodes in the cluster ...

[Dev] [AppServer] What is the global visible classpath for both webapps as well as OSGi bundles

Hi all
I have a requirement where I need to add my 3rd party classes (apache
juddi-core jar) to a place where it is visible to both my webapp as well as
for an custom OSGi bundle.
I thought it would be repository/component/lib, but JAX-WS deployer fails
with CNF ? I am trying this installing 4.1.0 webapp mgt features in G-Reg.

Re: [Dev] Meeting Notes[Re: Updated Invitation: App Factory tooling review @ Mon May 13, 2013 3:30pm - 4:30pm (srin...@wso2.com)]

2013-05-15 Thread Manisha Gayathri
Hi all,

We will be upgrading the Live AF system today with the Jaggery App changes
that incoroporates with getting the Jenkins build log URL. Since this is
just a jaggery change, there will be no down time in AF Live. The other
APIs of AF will not be changed.
With the new addition to AF Live system, we will be able to see a basic
end-to-end picture in DevS <--> AF story.

Also we have found that currently there is no direct method in AF that
return the Jenkins last build number specific to the version. Therefore I
will create a new method for that and that too will be available in live
soon.

Thanks
Manisha

2013-05-15 Thread Tharindu Mathew
I feel if you haven't already incorporated anything, this will take at
least 2 -3 weeks for QA and release. We have already pushed the release
from May 3rd for 2 weeks, and we need to finalize this.

Can BPS components for a 4.1.3?

Yeah. I think it is a better option. ESB team also going to release in next
few weeks using 4.1.3, so you will have time to do a proper QA and release.

Re: [Dev] Build Fialure Greg- p2-profilegen

2013-05-15 Thread Senaka Fernando
Hi Nuwan,

Any reason for changing the Jaggery dependencies to 4.2.0? We need to
release G-Reg with 4.1.3 and we need this version of Jaggery to be in there.

Thanks,
Senaka.

We have tried to test this in 2 setups with newly created artifacts. In the

In the created project only the .dbs file is available.

But in staging set up, the build is fine. The repo has the files as

We will be investigating on this issue further and update.

2013-05-15 Thread Senaka Fernando
Hi Nuwan,

Alright, but the error does say the following:

Software being installed: Jaggery aggregate Feature 0.9.0.ALPHA2-wso2v4
(org.jaggeryjs.feature.group 0.9.0.ALPHA2-wso2v4)
 Missing requirement: org.jaggeryjs.hostobjects.ws 0.9.0.ALPHA2-wso2v4 (
org.jaggeryjs.hostobjects.ws 0.9.0.ALPHA2-wso2v4) requires 'package
org.wso2.carbon.utils [4.2.0,5.0.0)' but it could not be found
 Cannot satisfy dependency

Darshana, if this is already released could this be an issue in your local
build?

Thanks,
Senaka.
