[Dev] API Manager - periodic failure of OAuth2Service for AccessTokens via the publisher API

2016-09-19 Thread Alan Tucker Spida Solutions
We are periodically seeing failures when trying to request Access Tokens via
the APIM publisher API. An instance of APIM will perform correctly returning
AccessTokens for a time. Occasionally, after restart it will fail when
requesting access tokens via the publisher API. After subsequent restarts the
same instance may or may not then return to operating correctly. The test
scenario in all cases is the same.

Note that if the user (that is being used to request an access token) logs into
the API store of the APIM instance, subsequent requests via the Publisher API
will then succeed. This appears to be reproducible.

On failure the typical stack trace below is seen:

[2016-09-19 09:52:31,163] INFO - TokenMgtDAO Thread pool size for session
persistent consumer : 100

Re: [Dev] [puppet] Setting up puppet home from script

2016-09-19 Thread Akila Ravihansa Perera
Hi,

I've improved the Puppet-Home setup script by introducing two map;
product_code_to_name_map and product_name_to_module_repo_map. With this
approach we can handle cases where product name and product code is
different. For eg: API Manager code is "apim" while product name is
"wso2am".

Also I've added platform support for Hiera data as well. You can use
"setup.sh -p -l " to setup Puppet Home with
Hiera data for a specific platform. If none given it will default to
'default' platform.

The relevant platform repo for the given product should contain a hieradata
directory which will be symlink'd to PUPPET_HOME/hieradata. For eg: wso2esb
kubernetes platform - https://github.com/wso2/kubernetes-esb should contain
a "hieradata" directory at the repo root level; https://github.com/
wso2/kubernetes-esb/tree/master/hieradata

Thanks.

Hi Malintha,

There is a "Address already in use" detected in the log.
Can you please try after killing the process?

Thanks.

Its an address already in use for port 5672. When you offset the server, do
you get the same error for the offsetted port?

Could there be a process that wasn't properly killed earlier which is still
holding up the port?

Hi Malintha,

It says Address already in use. According to exception 5672 port is using
some another application. close that application and try again.

[Dev] Exceptions while starting up WSO2 AM 2.0.0

2016-09-19 Thread Malintha Fernando
Hi All,

Following errors are being thrown when I try to start a wso2am-2.0.0 fresh
pack. Tried using port offset but got no success. No other wso2 products
were running and wso2am-1.9.1 started without any issues. Are there any
configurations that I need to do prior running APIM 2.0 that I have missed?
I am using Ubuntu 16.04.

Hi Lahiru,

Thanks for the response.

permissions. So we have the flexibility to change any associated roles with
correct permissions. Permissions are not changed or configurable. Yes
majority would not need to change them and it would add another config..
but in case if someone want to change the default names OR does not want to
create those roles at all etc, he would not have an option if we do not
make it configurable..

Thanks!

 Thats a good point Samisa.

We have the subscriber role by default because we need it to set the
permissions for users that sign up from the API store. All other user
creations need to happen through the carbon admin console anyway so I guess
we havent added those other roles by default.

But I see no reason why we cannot have these roles already created to
make it easier for the end user.

Hi Wenxing,

You can use the Java Documentation for carbon kernel 4.4.6 or 4.4.7 [1], since
there won't be any API changes from 4.4.1 to 4.4.6 or 4.4.7. We don't have Java
Documentation for 4.4.1 at the moment.

Is there any API docs for Carbon 4.4.1?

Thanks, Wenxing

Hi Wenxing,

BTW: I found we have API Java docs for Carbon 4.4.6/4.4.7
(http://product-dist.wso2.com/javadocs/carbon/4.4.6/user-mgt/index.html?overview-summary.html),
But I wan't able to find the ones for the older version. Any hints?WSO2 AS
5.3.0 uses carbon kernel 4.4.1. But you won't be able to find the javadocs for
the particular carbon kernel version. But since these are patch releases there
aren't any API changes in the existing API. Therefore ideally you should be
able to refer the latest docs without any issue.

Please do let us know if you find any issues with that.

Thanks
Thusitha

Hi Wenxing,

In order to provide SSO based authentication for your applications. You can use
SAMLSSOValve in WSO2 AS to integrate with WSO2 IS as in the documentation
provided in [1]

Subject: [Dev] Query about the SSO in the WSO

Dear gurus,

Would like to know more details on the Single Sign On implemented in the WSO2?
How it's being implemented?

And if I wanna use this feature with the example architecture diagram below,
what I have to do?

Thanks for the advice
