R: DCS and M20
Which DCS do M20 accept for you ? Hi, I also think I have some problems with dcs, with the current at2 cvs. They work on my wavecom, and fails on Siemens TC35. Can anyone tell me some AT to try all different DCS values to see which works? Andrea
HTTP Basic authentication doesn't work with sms-service
Hi, In last CVS user guide, it is said : By adding a username and password in the URL in the following manner http://luser::port/path?query; we can perform HTTP Basic authentication (see http://www.kannel.3glab.org/download/kannel-userguide-snapshot/userguide.htm l#AEN1804) I tried that but I got in smsbox.log : 2001-09-18 09:51:31 [4] INFO: Starting to service Aa from xxx to 2001-09-18 09:51:31 [8] ERROR: URL http://login:/file.html has malformed port number. 2001-09-18 09:51:31 [8] ERROR: Couldn't send request to http://login:/file.html Does anybody know what is the problem here ? Again on AT
Sorry to bother you again. I still have trouble sending sms with the current cvs, SIM is working properly, has been put into a phone and send correctly any sms. By the way with Siemens TC35 even changing SIM this is what I get. (correctly receives but error answering) The pdu seems correct. Any ideas? 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- +CMT: ,23 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- 0791934329003028040C919343885990931090311183020804CC27950A 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [9] DEBUG: boxc_sender: sent message to 127.0.0.1 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- AT+CNMA^M 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [8] DEBUG: boxc_receiver: got ack 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [8] DEBUG: boxc_receiver: sms received 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- OK 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [5] DEBUG: TP-Validity-Period: 24.0 hours 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- AT+CMGS=118^M 2001-09-13 09:44:45 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- 2001-09-13 09:44:46 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- 0011000C81934388599093A776F2F4382C4F9FC3EDF2DC95A68388E9739A1EA69741CC27 950A2A83E6E534C85D6F97E569105D1E06C54065500E064ABBE965B93DCC6687E96910390C9A C3C3FA34085E9683CEE9F7382C2FB3406132A83C2FB7E1E93788F9A452413110AD06B2D940B7 1B48069A01 2001-09-13 09:44:47 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- 2001-09-13 09:44:47 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- ^Z 2001-09-13 09:44:47 [5] DEBUG: send command status: 1 2001-09-13 09:44:51 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- +CMGS: 55 2001-09-13 09:44:51 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- OK 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- +CMT: ,23 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- 0791934329003028040C919343885990931090311193700804D16A520B 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- AT+CNMA^M 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [9] DEBUG: boxc_sender: sent message to 127.0.0.1 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [8] DEBUG: boxc_receiver: got ack 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [8] DEBUG: boxc_receiver: sms received 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- OK 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [5] DEBUG: TP-Validity-Period: 24.0 hours 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- AT+CMGS=112^M 2001-09-13 09:45:32 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- 2001-09-13 09:45:33 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- 0011000C81934388599093A770EDD639DC2ECF5D693A8898068DD165D0F8CD7ECBCB2002 881D06B1C3747ADA1D0691D3A0E17B1C6E0DDFECF00F140459CB727219240449DFF3F91B3404 1DD36136FB0D92A6E7F0B79B5C969741B1393CAC4FBF41F2F41CFE9ED3C3A0E2DC058A8182 2001-09-13 09:45:34 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- 2001-09-13 09:45:34 [5] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/com1]: -- ^Z 2001-09-13 09:45:34 [5] DEBUG: send command status: 1 Andrea
latin1_to_gsm (gsm_escapes characters like {, }, [, etc.) ?
Hi, I was reading gwlib/charset.c to understand how the Latin-1 to GSM 7bit alphabet translation works. I found that : /* [ is an escaped */ /* \ is an escaped / */ /* ] is an escaped */ /* ^ is an escaped Greek Lambda */ and : /* This is the extension table defined in GSM 03.38. It is the mapping * used for the character after a GSM 27 (Escape) character. All characters * not in the table, as well as characters we can't represent, will map * to themselves. We cannot represent the euro symbol, which is an escaped * 'e', so we left it out of this table. */ static const struct { int gsmesc; int latin1; } gsm_escapes[] = { { 10, 12 }, /* ASCII page break */ { 20, '^' }, { 40, '{' }, { 41, '}' }, ... I read GSM 03.38 and I didn't find anything about that extension table. What I am sure is that my Nokia 7110 receive a ( when sending {. Is there any portable which interprets ESC-( differently than my 7110 (ie ESC-( is equivalent to () ? If not, what is the interest of that translation which wastes 1 character ({ is coded as ESC-( for ex.) Thanks in advance for your help.Gildas. Re: compile error on solaris 7: attgetopt.c
Matt Parker wrote: - 'make distclean', followed by './configure', followed by 'make' got rid of the attgetopt.c problem. - someone else emailed me that it should be -DSOLARIS, not -DSunOS. is this true? -DSunOS is set by configure, and is correct for Solaris. have a look at uname -a sometime. There is a very fine distinction between Solaris 2 and SunOS 5, and whilst this may have changed recently I originally did the port to SunOS 5.7. SunOS 5.7 is the Operating System, Solaris 7 is the Operating Environment. SunOS is to Solaris as Linux is to RedHat, (sort of, and with suitalble handwaving to cover the holes.) - at link time and run time (and in the config.log file), I get the following error: /usr/local/sparc-sun-solaris2.7/bin/ld: warning: libgcc_s.so.1, needed by /usr/local/lib/libz.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link) does this imply that gcc 3.0 or greater is required? This implies that gcc 3 was used to compile libz, which requires this lib. If libgcc_s.so.1 exists on your machine, then you can either symlink it in somewhere useful, add its location to LD_LIBRARY_PATH, or use -rpath to specify the search path. (If you need hints on rpath, look in the solaris directory in mk-solaris-package.sh.) If you do not have libgcc_s.so.1, then you will need to compile up libz from source. -- Derry Hamilton, I think your cats need tuning - according to a couple of quick measurements on a recently calibrated reference cat, the dominant frequency of a correctly adjusted cat should be 12Hz +/-20%. ===Lionel Lauer on a.s.r===
RE: the number if incoming EMI2 messages is wrong
I noticed that the number of incoming messages (in case of EMI2) displayed in status page is doubled up. I use a kannel version derived from 1.1.4. well .. the handle_operation() in gw/smsc_emi2.c updates the counter at two places just before calling bb_smscconn_receive(). as bb_smscconn_receive() increases the counter itself, those calls are not required, please fix ... kaido
RE: compile error on solaris 7: attgetopt.c
-DSunOS is set by configure, and is correct for Solaris. have a look at uname -a sometime. SunOS 5.7 is the Operating System, Solaris 7 is the Operating Environment. SunOS is to Solaris as Linux is to RedHat, (sort of, and with suitalble handwaving to cover the holes.) uname -a does indeed yield SunOS 5.7 - at link time and run time (and in the config.log file), I get the following error: /usr/local/sparc-sun-solaris2.7/bin/ld: warning: libgcc_s.so.1, needed by /usr/local/lib/libz.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link) does this imply that gcc 3.0 or greater is required? This implies that gcc 3 was used to compile libz, which requires this lib. (If you need hints on rpath, look in the solaris directory in mk-solaris-package.sh.) If you do not have libgcc_s.so.1, then you will need to compile up libz from source. you're correct. apparently, the current distributions of zlib and libxml2 at sunfreeware.com have been compiled using gcc 3. upgrading to 3 solved the problem (easier than obtaining and recompiling the sources for zlib and libxml2, which also would have worked). thanks for your help. Questions about Kannel
My name is Nate Fleming. Im with Lockheed Martin Information System in Orlando, Fl. We are beginning development on a WAP based application and are in need of a gateway. The application will run on a Handspring Visor and an iPaq running WAP browsers to exchange information with our existing j2ee infrastructure. Ive read through much of the information on your web site but still have a couple of questions. Will the Kannel gateway support these handheld devices? Can you recommend a WAP browser for these handhelds? At the moment we are only in need to support a couple of concurrent users (1-5) but in the future we may need to support thousands. Can the Kannel gateway support this many users? What might the hardware requirements be for this many users? Those are really the only big questions on my mind now. Please email me any additional information concerning Kannel and its capabilities.
