For whoever may be interested I got a Siemens M35i mobile phone (M20

I think) working with kannel 1.2.
Jus add an init-string in the modems group
init-string = AT+CNMI=1,2,0,0,1
Sorry, forgot to specify that:
1- at2 driver used.
2- speed must be set to 19200
Stefano Baronio
could you send me the ATI result or the modems.conf
group ?
group = modems
id = siemens_m35i
name = Siemens M35i
detect-string = SIEMENS
detect-string2 = M35i
init-string = AT+CNMI=1,2,0,0,1
speed = 19200
need-sleep = true
I just noted that, whilst the M20 works well with GSM numbers without the
'+' (i.e 393281234567 ), the M35 needs the 00 or the + at the begining of
the destination number.
Very rarely happens that kannel sends 3 or 4 messages against 1 http
request. I don't know if it is a kannel or a modem issue by now. In the logs
I can see that it actually sends the messages throught the mobile phone,
with no error messages both from kannel and from the phone.
best regards
