Re: [SailfishDevel] CalDAV/CardDAV Contributor Meeting

2017-02-06 Thread Steph Gosling
Hi Damien,

The community collaboration meeting was only set for the 6th of March
as that was the first date after MWC and Jolla folk would be very busy
before. It's not my call to make but given you guys historically have
meetings on Monday mornings it seems reasonable to me to move the
community meeting to another time (I mean it could immediately follow
the CalDav one etc.)

What do people think?

The devel-su password can be seen/reset in Settings>Developer Mode

No duty or delay for mine to the UK. I should also say that there was
only about 3 hours between me receiving the tracking email and me
physically having the phone. All happened on the same day.

The emulator in the Sailfish SDK can be extracted, copied and modified
tol boot on other x86 devices but 'general' functionality will be
(very) limited: the purpose of the emulator is to let developers
test/debug their applications so it doesn't (yet) include any other
applications:- no browser, file manager etc.

Sailfish is built upon Nemo and Mer, and it is from these projects that
Sailfish inherits the cross-platform libraries/runtimes and the
emulator. Nemo already has most of the common apps and as such would be
a better fit if you were wanting to install it on an x86 netbook etc.

Hope that helps,

Cheers,

Steph

There's an 'unofficial' list of stuff here, many with sources:

https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Sailfish

and most of the authors can be found hanging around in #mer,
#nemomobile and #sailfishos on FreeNode.

It's possible you're seeing the SSH_AUTH_SOCK error but I seem to
remember the same output last time I tried to build ambiancechanger (a
few weeks ago). I have a sneaking suspicion it's actually something
wrong with the package and/or a change between a previous versions and
the new one. Best I can suggest is to go to the horses mouth and ask
sfietkonstantin.
