Re: [SailfishDevel] MobileNetwork / MobileData automatically on after reboot - what the heck?
Hi kaa could you explain more exactly how you are expecting Assisted GPS to work? It sounds like you are expecting it to show changes in position before a GPS fix has been acquired. My understanding is that A-GPS is intended to get a useable fix faster. If you know roughly where you are, it is easier / quicker to calculate exactly where you are. Then once you have an accurate fix using the GPS signal it is easier to spot and track small changes. mfg Chris Zitat von kaa : BTW, Assisted GPS not work. Re: [SailfishDevel] MobileNetwork / MobileData automatically on after reboot - what the heck?
thank you for prompt answers! Dalvik enabled - how should i check this? I turned the MobileData after unpacking the phone, than after updating it and after agreeing to the Maps license. I do not want to pay for the mobile data while i am on my way and I do not want to have a flatrate, so it is explicitly OFF. I noticed that when I start Maps app, MobileData turns ON. Than I turn it OFF and than after couple of minutes it closes by itself. In the meantime it asks me for internet connection every darn couple of seconds - very annoying. I feel like I don't have control over the device. Is this a feature of the Maps app that it turns the MobileData ON, or is it a feature of Jolla after enabling Location, that I agree generally for all applications to turn MobileData ON when no other connection available? Because it this is Maps app only the solution for me would be not using it at the moment - however there is no alternative now. The latter would be really bad :( Maybe there is sth else I do wrong which is not related to location directly(?) At the moment i feel like coming back to N9 or N950 with my SIM for stability, but in longer terms this will not work. br simon On Mon, Jan 13, 2014 at 11:47 AM, Steph Gosling wrote: > Possibly related: > > > https://together.jolla.com/question/8375/flight-mode-is-not-enforced-after-reboot/ > > I've been able to reproduce (including a 5 minute delay between > enabling flightmode and turning the device off. Re: [SailfishDevel] MobileNetwork / MobileData automatically on after reboot - what the heck?
BTRFS have feature or bug? Strange bug? Filesystem with broken sync before reboot is broken filesystem. Or if reboot not wait for fs/disk sync, this reboot is buggy .. User no need to wait, reboot MUST wait for FS sync to disk. "if you reboot too quickly" is mad construction. kaacz Dne 13.1.2014 10:32, Jonni Rainisto napsal(a): Hi, Did you wait for few minutes after turning the setting off, before rebooting the device? Possibly related: https://together.jolla.com/question/8375/flight-mode-is-not-enforced-after-reboot/ I've been able to reproduce (including a 5 minute delay between enabling flightmode and turning the device off. Chat on #jollamobile indicated it may be something to do with Dalvik, do you have that enabled? Hi, yes i am aware of this syncso...rebooted several hours after turning location on, so we can eliminate that. I am sure i did deactivete MobileData, because I was irritated by receiving mail while no WLAN available on my way home. So I immediately turned it OFF.
