bricks from distributed disperse volume is not supported.. You can
verify the same in AppErrors.properties.

I am sorry, it was my copy/paste error.
It was meant to be GlusterSnapshotInfoFailedException and my question

This is used to error out if removal of bricks tried from distributed
disperse volume.

 Hi everyone,

While messing with the gerrit flags I have found a way to minimize
 effectively
the emails from Jenkins reviews (something that annoyed a lot of you) and to
still give information on gerrit about what is going on.

Now you will not get any emails on starting jobs, and only the owner should
 get
emails on finished jobs. But all those events are registered on the gerrit
 comments.

Let me know if that does not work for you and why and we'll try to adapt to
 get
 the best solution for everyone.

@Shubhendu(/others) - can you please assist with the $type-related question?

@Yuko: as for the double-quotation marks - these indeed are not needed.
same for the following string (in the same file):
Resrouce ID: VALIDATION_DATA_CENTER_DESCRIPTION_INVALID
String: Data Center description must be formed of ASCII charis only

please instruct the translators to ignore the double-quotation marks,
i.e., to not include the double-quotation marks in their translations
for those two strings.
I will make sure that the source (English) strings are fixed.

Thanks,
Einav

 the previous versions.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could help us by answering questions,
so that we can ensure accuracy of our translations, based on the context.

 Here is our first question.

 File: LocalizedEnums
 Resource ID:
 NonOperationalReason___EMULATED_MACHINES_INCOMPATIBLE_WITH_CLUSTER_LEVEL
Strings: The Host emulated machine flags doesn't match any of the emulated
machines supported by the cluster level.
Question: I cannot understand this message clearly and hope someone can
explain the context. Is this related to
 http://www.ovirt.org/Cluster_emulation_modes ? It says EmulatedMachine is a
property passed to QEMU as -M flag. If so, should it read The host's
EmulatedMachine flag does not match any of the EmulatedMachine flags
supported by the cluster level and we should leave the term
 EmulatedMachine in English?

There is also a similar string in the same file: The Host emulated machine
flags doesn't match one of the cluster emulated machines.
(Once again there is a bit of grammatical issue with doesn't being used for
 a plural noun)

 Many thanks in advance,

I've written my own extremely crude client using the stomp library.
Nir also has a patch [1] on gerrit to do this. Maybe he can provide

Yes, this is a bug in the API. It is fixed already in 3.6:

SDK and REST ignore template's disk attributes
   https://bugzilla.redhat.com/1110798

It didn't happen before 3.5 because the backend didn't check the content
of the alias. That changed in 3.5 as part of the fix for a different bug:

Create template from vm with empty disk alias should block with
 canDoAction
   https://bugzilla.redhat.com/1110304

As far as I know there is no workaround, so you will have to wait for a
release containing the fix. Currently it is targeted for 3.6, but we
 could retarget for 3.5.

Thank you very much for your prompt action.
We will update our translations once the revised strings are pushed to
our translation system.

Thank you Shubhendu.

Sorry to ask you questions repeatedly, but based on the above, the
complete sentence of the message Cannot ${action} ${type} for
example will be:

*Cannot Gluster volume snapshot config update Gluster volume snapshot.*

Gluster volume snapshot part is duplicated, and does not seem to
work whether it is in English or other languages.
If the action is update and type is Gluster volume snapshot
config, it will not have any grammatical issues

Hi,
HE-VM not exposed to customer right after HE deployment is complete via WEBUI

I see that behavior had been changed from 3.5GA.
Is this OK, that HE-VM had been sealed and not exposed any longer?

[ovirt-devel] [ACTION NEEDED][QE] oVirt 3.6.0 status

2015-05-13 Thread Sandro Bonazzola
Hi, here's an update on 3.6 status on integration / rel-eng side
The tracker bug for 3.6.0 [1] currently shows 2 blockers:
Bug ID Whiteboard Status Summary
1119225 integration POST[engine-setup] 'Execution of setup
failed' message is odd if only nfs start failed
1220142 virtPOSTFail to create a VM through the webadmin

ACTION: maintainers to provide an ETA for above bugs
For integration, 1119225 should be merged by the end of the week.

Alpha release has been postponed to 2015-05-19
ACTION: maintainers to fix blocking bugs and ensure that a VM can be created
through the webadmin interface before 2015-05-19.

And 3 blocking dependencies:
Product Bug ID Status Target Release Summary
Fedora 1066959 ASSIGNED--- nfs-server.service needs to be
started twice
RHEL 7 1171603 NEW --- Require rpcbind.service in

GlusterFS 1218990 ASSIGNED--- failing installation of
glusterfs-server-3.7.0beta1-0.14.git09bbd5c.el7.centos.x86_64

Repository closure is currently broken on Fedora 20 and CentOS 6
due to a missing required dependency on recent libvirt and vdsm rpm dropping
el6 support.

VDSM builds for EL6 are no more available on master snapshot.
ACTION: jenkins job owners: please review jenkins jobs relying on VDSM to be

ACTION: maintainers to finalize features proposed for 3.6 inclusion before
2015-06-15
According to current approved release process[6] you can ask for an exception
until one week before feature freeze (2015-06-08).
Public vote is required for exception approval before 2015-06-15.
Incomplete features without an approved exception will be reverted according to

On Release engineering side:

Re: [ovirt-devel] [oVirt 3.6 Localization Question #1] The Host emulated machine flags doesn't match any of the emulated machines supported by the cluster level.

Hope someone can help us with this.

Many thanks in advance,

Hello all,

I have just started working on the oVirt 3.6 localization project

I would like to post our questions to this mailing list, just as I did
for the previous versions.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could help us by answering
questions, so that we can ensure accuracy of our translations, based
on the context.

Here is our first question.

*File:***LocalizedEnums*
**Resource ID:***
NonOperationalReason___EMULATED_MACHINES_INCOMPATIBLE_WITH_CLUSTER_LEVEL*
**Strings:***The Host emulated machine flags doesn't match any of the
emulated machines supported by the cluster level.
*Question:* I cannot understand this message clearly and hope someone
can explain the context. Is this related to
http://www.ovirt.org/Cluster_emulation_modes? It says EmulatedMachine
is a property passed to QEMU as -M flag. If so, should it read The
host's EmulatedMachine flag does not match any of the EmulatedMachine
flags supported by the cluster level and we should leave the term
EmulatedMachine in English?

There is also a similar string in the same file: The Host emulated
machine flags doesn't match one of the cluster emulated machines.
(Once again there is a bit of grammatical issue with doesn't being
used for a plural noun)

Many thanks in advance,

Yuko Katabami
