[development-axapta] SQL Ram Usage
Hi all; I have a problem with SQL 2000. When i run Axapta i can't use more ram than 1,826,000 MB. I thougth that it was because it is Standard Edition. Then i created a test env. and Setup an Enterprise SQL 2000. But i can't still use more than 1,826,000 MB ram. Is there a solution for this. Thanks. Michael, You are right HF30SP4_011 help fixed the problem, but I have another issue here related to "Compare Layers" and "Code Upgrade" I would like to know what would be the layers to compare after a service pack upgradation. Actually, I applied 3.0 SP4 and when I see the Class SalesFormLetter in AOT..It show something like this (sys,syp,usr).. Because of some customizations done by developers on this class, i believe the user layer code has overriden the syp layer, i came to know about this because on another machine I have a fresh installation of SP4 with no user customizations on it and i compared the code for SalesFormLetter class in both machines. Now my question here is, If we do a "Compare Layers", followed by a "Code Upgrade", should we compare : a. sys-usr layer b.sys-oldusrlayer ( i guess oldusr and usr are same-this is what it says in Developer guide) c.sys-oldsys layer d. syp-usr layer e. syp-oldusr layer f. syp-sys layer I'm bit confused here. Would appreciate if anyone help me on this? Your problem could be that Windows 2003 Server (not SQL server) can only access 2 Gigs of memory, Enterprise edition can initially acces 4Gb, and can be set up to access more (up to 64G I think) and Datacentre can address up to 128Gb. We ran into a similar problem and had to upgrade our OS licence. [development-axapta] how to disable RLS on report

i create a report where i want to disable rls on cust table.
i'm trying something like this but it doesn't work.
User can't see all records, because rls of its group has restricted
acces to all records.
can anyone tell me what i doing wrong?

The code you quote will send an email direct to the mail server of the person that you are sending the email to. The underlying DLL that SysMailer wraps (DsMailer.dll) makes an SMTP connection, in your example, to one of the following three machines (info from an NSLOOKUP on the operatech.com.tr domain)
operatech.com.tr MX preference = 0, mail exchanger = mail.doruk.net.tr
operatech.com.tr MX preference = 9, mail exchanger = etrn.doruk.net.tr
operatech.com.tr MX preference = 15, mail exchanger = etrn2.doruk.net.tr
If, for some reason, your system is unable to reach any of those machines then it cannot send the email. When it tries to make the connection it must perform the same NSLOOKUP operation that I did to get the names and IP addresses of the machines it needs to send the email to. Your code hasn't defined any name servers for SysMailer to use when it does this, so it will resort to using the Internet's root name server, which are very busy beasts and might not return a result in a reasonable time. In addition, the mail servers you are trying to connect to might be unavailable for some reason (maybe they are down or the Internet link of the people that own them is dead) which might also cause the send operation to timeout. For these reasons you should configure either (or preferably both) a smart host or a local DNS server for Sysmailer to use.
SysMailer includes methods to access an SMTPRelayServer collection and a DNSServer collection for this purpose. As a minimum I would recommend using a (local) SMTP relay server (smart host), which would be your own mail server. If you can add a DNS server, so much that better (you can get SysMailer to validate email addresses if you have that).

[development-axapta] Inventory Closing
Hello, I have a big problem when starting the inventory closing process. First it starts and appears to run fine but after a few moments following message appears: Record with RecId 21599443 in table 'Lagerbuchungen' has mismatching Sequence field values. Original value was 16959088, new value is 21599443. Has anyone an idea what this could mean or where it comes from? My tries ended debugging in front of the xRecord.update() methode. [development-axapta] urgent..time-out error for e-mail sending
Hi all,
We tried to send automatically created e-mails from Axapta via SMTP It
worked well for some recipient like @yahoo.com and @121metre.com But for
some recipients (like @hotmail.com, @gmail.com, @operatech.com.tr,
@evyap.com.tr) we receive time-out error which you can find attached
Here is our code for that:
SysMailer mailer = new SysMailer();
mailer.body("This is the body of the mail");
mailer.subject("The message subject");
mailer.fromAddress("from ");
mailer.fromName("name");
mailer.tos().add("[EMAIL PROTECTED]");
mailer.sendMail();
after the error we tried to incresed the time-out limit as you may see below
but nothing

mailer.timeOutConnect(3600);
We need help on this
We can send e-mail over outlook using the class "sysInetMailer"
But the customer doens't want this solution because they need to be logged
on the server all the time and an outlook client must be working all the
time ...
That's why we used the SMTP solution as an alternative to these..
Is there any other ways of sending e-mails rather than "sysInetMailer" and
"sysMailer"

able to get the name from customers, vendors as well as items and
discount groups. Everything works fine and is displayed

Make sure you have a Datasource set for your control. When your display
method is on the form, and it doesn't have the Datasource property set, you
