It is only the key-mapping used in windows that can be identified. (eg. F1,
F10,  + X,  + V and so on)

If you wish to override a key generally, you should be able to do this using
the class SysSetupFormRun

[development-axapta] Retriving the COM object for XMLDocument

I need to retrive the COM object that defines an XMLDocument in Dynamics Ax 

4.0

In version 3.0 the class XMLNode had a method com(), this is not the case in


version 4.0.

Any suggestions on how to retrive the underlying COM object?

It would seem that the standard SalesInvoice report in Ax30Sp4 
contains the following "bug":

When an invoice (free text/sales invoice) contains a sufficient number 
of lines to justify a second page, the line/item description is 
printed on the first page and the quantities/values are printed at the 
top of the second page.

Has anyone come across this issue?'

I've hacked at the report without satisfactory results.

post individual sales orders from an external system.

The outline of the process is as follows:

Each external file contains 1000 lines to be imported and posted.
Batching is implemented in the class1.runImport() method and the 
batches has a size of 100. 
The memory error occurs approximately after 3 files.
The transaction in the Class2::importAndPost method is the only 
transaction used in the process.
The Finalize() methods in Class1 and Class2 are empty.
The SmartHeapMemorySizeUp() has been tested and does not resolve the 
out of memory error.

The caption of the infobox is "The product id."

[development-axapta] funktionality in a webform.

I need to change the behaviour in a webform.
When the cursor is in a grid and the user presses the  key, the
webform should act as if the user had pressed the  key.
This should be the case for alle fields in the grid, exept the last field.
If  is pressed when the the last field is active, it should activare
the submit function.
 
in short I need to substitute standard  funktionality with 
funktionality.
 
I'm using Axapta 3.0 SP1

If I open a form like:

Subject: [development-axapta] Problem with ax 2.5 to 3.0 data upgrade




I'm back again - same problem. Posted before but didn't get any 
replies. Figured I'd try again. Maybe I'll have to open a support 
incident with MBS, but I'd rather not burn one of those unless I have 
to.

Can't get thru the post-sync data upgrade step.

I get the following error:

Now, both the class InventMovement and one of the tables it appears 
to be updating - ProjTable had been modified in the var layer, but I 
removed those mods and tried it again and still same problem. 

When I look at class InventMovement I don't see any 'new' method at 
all.

I just don't know how to figure this out. It's above my head.

Why not sharing with all? why not using all? why constrain yourself to a
limited number of developers?
Using this forum, you will benefit from the experience gathered across
borders.
 
I'm not sure I understand the purpose.

Subject: [development-axapta] A call to South African Axapta technical users



To all South African Axapta technical users,
We (the Axapta implementation and development team at UTi Sun couriers) feel
that the technical users at all Axapta sites in South Africa could benefit
from creating a local Axapta user community. We envision such a community
learning from each other's experiences, and helping motivate a greater focus
on the part of Microsoft when it comes to providing quality training and
support in this country. We would like to be able to share experiences
regarding implementations, volumes and  development, as well as helping
recommend competent third party training institutions and implementation
partners.

We would also like to hear from any other such communities in other
countries to be able to learn what steps they have taken towards
establishing productive user groups.
