Dear Jason,
Thanks for the confirmation. Based on our discussions few minutes ago; the
M think this will help them to show the performances of their programs.
For example:
In a particular facility A; during the months Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May; the
cases of measles are 5, 8, 9, 0, 10...
In our data collection, Apr will be seeing as no entry ( which means we
can’t identify whether it is zero measle case or no entry was done.

Dear Barnabas,
Thanks for your help.
The issue now is that we had been ignoring it all this time. Now, we want
to consider it again which means we will have to enable them as a batch by
API method but I am inquiring if the previous missing zeros will appear.

[Dhis2-devs] WHO DQA tool and Zeros not storing in DHIS2

2018-11-22 Thread gerald thomas
Dear all,
We are looking at the WHO tool and there was a concern about the zeros
which are not storing in the PostgreSQL database.
Please is there any solution for these zeros not storing?
Is there another way for the WHO tool to differentiate between an actual
blank space and Zeros?

Thanks in advance for your contribution.

[Dhis2-devs] Analytics Table Is Accumulating Data

2018-11-06 Thread gerald thomas
Dear All,
We task our instance to be running analytics every 4 hours during the
course of the daily (24hours). But we just noticed that the analytic
tables in the Postgres database is accumulating rather than dropping the
old tables and repopulating them again which currently affecting our disk
space. I am currently running PostgreSQL 10 and DHIS2 2.27 on our instance.
Please can someone help with solution because i don't want to be manually
delete analytics tables every time i notice an increase in my disk space.

What version of Postgres are running? Normally, these errors occurs when

[Dhis2-devs] Reporting Rate Summary

2018-05-10 Thread gerald thomas
Dear All,
I am trying to understand 'Reporting Rate Summary'. Basically a 'Reporting
Rate Summary' are reports which are: Based on complete data set
registration or Based on compulsory data elements per a particular data set.

Question:
If a facility let say "A" doesn't have a data for that particular month we
are reporting them as zeros(0) because data is not available which i think
should be (NA) whilst for a particular data element we are giving it a
zero(0); this time report is available but the counts are zeros(0).

Please i want to know how other countries are reporting their not available
values? Are they still looking at both instances of zeros as zero and
analyze those data for actual or expected reports under 'Reporting Rate
Summary'.
Please colleagues can you share your concepts how these zeros (not
available values and counts whose values are zeros) are address on your
instances.

There are configuration which should had been done for Postgres to use your

It simply means your data is based on those category combinations that is
why you are seeing them. Please share a print screen of that data set whose
data elements you pivoting for now.

Vunda,
Is the user is available for the associated Dataelement category
combination. If not, you will need to create that user before importing
your metadata again.

2017-12-05 Thread gerald thomas
Dear Knut,
Thanks very much for your help but i have one more question; I have 31
schools of which 4 of them have the same name (RC Junior Sec School)
but of different chiefdoms. Can i do a single attributecategory RC
Junior Sec School and assigned it to the various chiefdoms? Will the
schools data save separately with reference to their respective
chiefdoms or should i create attributecategory for each RC Junior Sec
School label with its chiefdom?

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Data Set Issue

2017-12-04 Thread gerald thomas
Dear all,
Thanks for your help.
I am was only using two schools for explanation purposes. But the scenario
is much more complex. I have 32 schools of which the partners didn’t want
us to use them on their current hierarchy; so we decided to use each school
as a DataSet but that didn’t work either. The idea of attributes came up
before but i am sure it doesn’t work with category combinations.
Please what is the best option

[Dhis2-devs] Data Set Issue

2017-12-04 Thread gerald thomas
Dear All,
I am having two different DataSets by the name of RC School and LC
School sharing the same data elements and category combination. During
data entry when I entered information on the RC School DataSet it
saves but when i switched to LC School the information of RC School
DataSet is present of LC School and whatever changes done on LC School
DataSet will automatically reflect on RC School DataSet.

Please can anyone help.

Dear Calle,
Thanks for your response. That was what i told the partners but their
budget didn't permitted them and they didn't have names for all the
schools. How does comments works on DataSet? Because we can use the
option of comments to tag names to a particular Data Entry because the
name of the schools are for reference purposes.

Public Health Units: PHUs has the following paper based records
(Register--->Tally Sheet-->Summary Forms): These Summary Forms are
then submitted to the District Health Management Teams: DHMTs they in
turn access DHIS 2 to do data entry. Having look at our data
collection strategy up to our data entry there is need for concern
since it might affect the quality of our data.

FUTURE SITUATION
PHUsDHIS2

In light of this, i am inquiring if anyone had done a project that
could improve our data quality or is there a recommendation from Oslo
in relation to an application that could be a solution. Actually i was
thinking of an app within a tab that could act as a register & tally
sheet which will then the sum data collected at the end of the month,
populate the various Summary Forms and then sync to DHIS 2 once these
tabs are within the environs of the DHMTs.

Kindly share your views or opinions or anything in relation to this
topic because it is something that i think is affecting most countries
using DHIS 2.

Thanks in advance for help or support or comments.

Dear Victor & Georgi,
I have you tried it on the dhis2.org demo? If it doesn't work there it
might be a bug but if it works, i suggest you should change your war

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Export & Import of a single Data Set

Dear Morten,
I was trying to update the corrupted data set rather than creating a
new one that was my issue before. I deleted the corrupted one and do
the import again; it works perfect.

Thanks for your help.

Ok, thanks for the clarification but can I have a sub-domain of such.
Please send me your public key so that I can create your account on the
server. I think can now start with automatic verification of backups files
between the two instances.

[Dhis2-devs] Completeness above 100% and inconsistency in reporting rates

2017-03-24 Thread gerald thomas
Dear All,
We had been struggling with this issue along with other users and we
haven't received much to conclude it. Please any help to close the
subject? It is also on JIRA: https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-300.

Kindly note that when our instance is on 2.22 the reporting rate was
working fine. This issue occurs whenever we upgrade our system beyond
2.22.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Bug: visualizer not working in v2.25

2017-03-23 Thread gerald thomas
Prinyanka,
I am assuming all the others are working I.e data entry, pivot table, etc.
Run maintenance, after it had been completed; shutdown instance and delete
the war file and folder with repetitive instance name. Download a new war
file and monitor Catalina.out when the instance startup.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Aggregated Data Capture using Android app

2017-02-28 Thread gerald thomas
Dear Araz,
I do not know if it had been done before or not because i am not
having much feedback from my DHIS2 colleagues which means i rely
totally on you for this project to be successful.

We want to take Data Entry to chiefdom level and at this level we have
limited electricity and Internet connectivity. In that case we are
thinking of a tablet app that can store data offline and then
automatically sync those offline data into the central server when the
tablet is online.

My questions:
1. Do we have any extra technicalities
2. Can you give us hardware recommendation for this implementation

Dear Araz & Colleagues,
Please i am really out of ideas; any help from OpCo who had done this

entry off-line using tablets and once they are on-line their tablets
should sync with the main server and all data are then uploaded.

Dear Stanley,
Please check whether DHIS2_HOME folder contains the hibernate.properties or
dhis.config file. Also, you need to check Catalina.out log file to see that
your war file was extracted properly.
Please give further information also about your system:
1. OS
2. Installation procedure
3. The version of war file
4. Tomcat logs

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] My DHIS2 Reports app not loading

2017-02-13 Thread gerald thomas
Kamugunga,
If he had provided the logs then that should had been easy to confirm but
currently the information seem like a bug on the war file. So the best
option is to replace the war file and monitor the logs. If it is a tomcat
issue it will definitely show on the logs.

Dear Gerald,
This could be also related to your tomcat version, we had the similar issue
here in Rwanda with data visualizer, pivot and event report apps not
loading after upgrading to dhis 2.24. We have upgraded to our tomcat from
7.052 to 7.0.68 and it worked.

Please trace back Bob,Lars, and Jason discussion on the tomcat version for
the new dhis2 releases.

2017-02-12 Thread gerald thomas
Timothy,
Please run maintenance and delete war file and name of folder which has the
name of your war file. Download a new war and tail -f /path/Catalina.out if
there is no error then everything should be fine.
Kindly note I am saying "/path/" because I don't the path of your logs.
Also tomcat must be stop before deleting war file and folder and "tail" the
logs before starting tomcat.
Wishing you the best.

Dear all,
I can't really tell what was the issue but after running maintenance &
analytics then change war file to the latest 2.25 war file the issue
was fixed. Everything is OK now. I actually didn't have time to look
at the 'browser console' again because i am afraid of the duration the
analytics will take.

I will keep you posted once those verification exercises are done.

Good morning all,

Bob, at some point Calle was importing metadata but i don't know if
that should be an issue. I am currently monitoring the logs to see if
i will receive those errors again.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Tomcat error

2017-01-28 Thread gerald thomas
Funnily I Bob I only copied a section of the log, I have various
dataelements ids & period ids which are sending those errors.
So I am worried where are these errors coming from now.

On Jan 28, 2017 7:31 PM, "Bob Jolliffe" <bobjolli...@gmail.com> wrote:

Gerald the clue is in your error message:

Detail: Key (dataelementid, periodid, sourceid,categoryoptioncomboid,
attributeoptioncomboid)=(1973, 2784149, 301,13, 13) already exists.

This usually means you have duplicates among the datavalues you are trying
to import. ie. more than one row with the key values as shown in your
error message.

Seid,
Thanks for your help but how can i identify those dataelements:

So I suggest you either to use the web API and import through the
import/export module or find out which of the metadata IDs is
duplicate and correct it.

another ticket while we verify and test all the various scenarios

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] PostgreSQL-9.5 failed to boot-up at restart of Linux server

2017-01-25 Thread gerald thomas
There were some issues with the migration so I had to purge the 9.3 and do
a fresh installation of 9.5 and restore my backup. But if the server reboot
I will have to manually do:
pg_ctlcluster 9.5 main start

On Jan 26, 2017 5:59 AM, "Uwe Wahser" <u...@wahser.de> wrote:

Hi Gerald,

we did the upgrade while upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04 and everything starts
normally. But you have to manually migrate your 9.3 databases into the 9.5
format - did you do that?

These were the bash commands I recorded back then (at your own risk, no
guarantee - do backups and all that first)

~/tomcat-dhis/bin/shutdown.sh
sudo pg_dropcluster 9.5 main --stop
sudo pg_upgradecluster 9.3 main
pg_lsclusters
sudo pg_dropcluster 9.3 main

Hope that helps,

Uwe

Absolom,
Kindly check the hibernate.properties or dhis.conf file again. It is
responsible to point DHIS2 to the right database.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Looking for Human Resource System to integrate with DHIS

2016-10-08 Thread gerald thomas
Hi all,
In Sierra Leone we successfully deployed both applications and it was a
success but we had an intermediary connection which is the facility
register, which is this case helps us to synchronize the facility list
between both applications. Normally, iHRIS gives the full background
information of staff within each facilities which can be useful for
analysis during disease outbreak or even as part an indicator.
Furthermore, our iHRIS was empowered using mHERO, which is two-way SMS
connection between iHRIS and health workers. They could update their
profile in iHRIS or receive alter of outbreak or even medical instructions
from their leads.
