Re: [Dhis2-users] DHIS2 Event Capture

2016-02-29 Thread Elmarie Claasen
Hi Victor,

I am forwarding your enquiry to the DHIS2 users list which is the forum you
should use for these type of questions. You can subscribe to the list here:
https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users

If you downloaded the event capture app from Google playstore you need to
ensure that your instance is on the correct war file 2.21/2.22 and you need
to set up a program in that instance and assign the program to orgunits.

You also have to create the user logging into the app on the android device
with User role which has permissions to capture event data and assign the
user to orgunits that is assigned to the program.

A good way to troubleshoot is to log in with the same user on the UI under
event capture and if you can then see the program you should be able to log
in on the device as well.

Another tricky point is that the URL you enter on the device you have the
use the http:// prefix to the URL.

Should you still have issues don't hesitate to reply to this list with
detail of your configuration e.g. war file steps you are following - sure
someone will be able to assist

Re: [Dhis2-users] DHIS2 DXF schema files

2016-02-29 Thread Samuel Spencer
Thanks for all the info, very useful! A few follow up question then.

In future DHIS is looking at JSON as the main import/export API format?
So if I wanted to be able to import metadata from another system in the
long term, JSON is the way to go?

What is the best way to test the generated code is valid DHIS DXF?
I tried this page:
https://play.dhis2.org/demo/dhis-web-importexport/dxf2MetaDataImport.action
And the upload form sent, but no new indicators/data elements were shown in
the listing, but it didn't give me an error either.

Re: [Dhis2-users] DHIS2 DXF schema files

2016-02-29 Thread Bob Jolliffe
We don't follow or express schema for dxf. Particularly the metadata has
been too dynamic. ( The link is very old and not maintained. )

Morten did introduce a schemas endpoint to the API (eg see
https://play.dhis2.org/demo/api/schemas/dataElement) which provides the
structure and types of the metadata objects. In theory (and practice) I
guess one can generate xsd or relaxng schema from these resources. Whether
it makes sense to generate schema or not might be another matter. There
are two reasons it might not

1. its hard to use schema for eg jaxb code generation if the schema is
moving too much

2. recalling an earlier message from lars that the xml representation of
metadata may be dropped sometime in the future in favour of concentrating
on the json

Hi Lars,

It certainly is useful since we are currently depending on daily backups to
mirror tracker data on sync server. Would be useful if this could be
achieved on the fly with synchronization.

Hi Ese,

the data sync only applies to aggregate data values at the moment. We can
extend this to events (without registration) if that would be useful.

Is there a way to automatically sync tracker data or at least export

 Hi all,

Can we sort data getting through an Api, I am trying using sortOrder
 but it did not helped.

 Following is the complete url:

 https://play.dhis2.org/demo/api/dataElementGroups?fields=dataElements[id,name]&sortOrder=ASC

 OR

 https://play.dhis2.org/demo/api/dataElementGroups?fields=dataElements[id,name]&sortOrder=DESC

Want to sort all the dataelements alphabetically or in some random
required order which we can define in Api only(say sort by dataelement or
 sort by name etc.)

 Thanks & Reagrds,

To get the files you uploaded, you need to use the following end points:

If the file is stored through the aggregate part of dhis2

api/dataValues/files?de=&co=&ou=&pe=

If the file is stored through the tracker part of dhis2

api/events/files?eventUid=&dataElementUid=

Yes, the query you are giving there is different from what you gave before.
You can't do collection sorting, which I assume is what you want?

These kinds of sorts works.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Regarding Data sort through an APi

2016-02-29 Thread Sourabh Bhardwaj
Thanks for the reply Morten,

I have tried with order parameter also but still getting the same order.
Here suppose I want to sort all the dataelements under Anaemia(KmwPVkjp7yl)
group like:

https://play.dhis2.org/demo/api/dataElementGroups/KmwPVkjp7yl?fields=dataElements[id,name]&order=name:asc

Here output should be:

Admission Date
Albendazole given at ANC (2nd trimester)
Anaemia follow-up
Anaemia new
Anaemia new

But actually it is coming in different order.

Thanks.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Using DHIS File Store

2016-02-29 Thread Aamer Mohammed
Any thoughts from the community please. Can we leverage File Store to store
data independent of any other object or should it be referenced from other
objects only?

Thanks
Aamer.

I assume you mean metadata (from your examples). Yes, you can use the order
parameter, please have a look at [1].

[Dhis2-users] Regarding Data sort through an APi

2016-02-29 Thread Sourabh Bhardwaj
Hi all,

Can we sort data getting through an Api, I am trying using sortOrder but it
did not helped.

Following is the complete url:

https://play.dhis2.org/demo/api/dataElementGroups?fields=dataElements[id,name]&sortOrder=ASC

OR

https://play.dhis2.org/demo/api/dataElementGroups?fields=dataElements[id,name]&sortOrder=DESC

Want to sort all the dataelements alphabetically or in some random required
order which we can define in Api only(say sort by dataelement or sort by
name etc.)

Thanks & Reagrds,
Sourabh Bhardwaj.
