2007-12-31 Thread Nick
Hi Demetre

That would be 14.0755 center freq AFSK. I am terrible with schedules
due to commitments but will try to call CQ at times between 14 and 16z
on 1/1/08. My 20m antenna at present is a G5RV and there is a hill in
the direction of EU. We are in this QTH for another 3 months then
will be moving to a hilltop with 360° coverage snow permitting.
Should be able to work EU tomorrow though with a little struggle. 73
and HNY. Nick KU2A

 Hi Nick,

I can be QRV tomorrow (1/1/08) between 14 and 16 UTC on that frequency
if you wish. The MUF will be around 16-17 MHZ during these times so we
 should be OK.

Is it 14.0755 MARK or CENTER FREQUENCY you are using?

I sometimes hang around 14.080 KHZ Center Frequency, so if we cannot
make it tomorrow you can try to call me.

73 and HAPPY PACTORING NEW YEAR to all!!!

[digitalradio] LF signals

2006-10-22 Thread Nick
Anyone know what all the low freq multitone signals are and how to
decode them? I suspect they are commercial and have proprietary
encoding. I have one up on the screen now on 289.1 kHz - very strong
with perhaps 32 different tones in a 120Hz spectrum. The 100kHz to
500kHz band is loaded with them inbetween all the airport beacons. At
the least it might make for a neat new mode for Patrick to include in
MultiPSK.

Re: [digitalradio] RF Digital Protocol Education

2006-02-01 Thread Nick Fedoseev
Hello Rud,

You do not need to perform FFT for signal processing.
You can use two vasic methods to demodulate FSK. I'd like say more,
the FFT has a very slow responce, so it can be used for low baudrate
modes only.

The first is creating two filters for two frequencies
and two amlitude detectors, the demodulatiob result is
the difference between the two above mentioned amplitudes.

The second is creating a common filter which passes all the needed
spectru, and a phase detector after that.

See http://www.DSPguide.com for more details.

Let me know in case of more questions.
