2008-12-13 Thread Norbert Pieper
Hello to the Group!!

I'm new here and have some goddies...

I freshly released an update of MF Tele Type V 2.0.088
http://www.polar-electric.com/MFTT/

And yes it is possible to run MFTT under Vista
Instructions:
Launch program directly from it's Program folder location for
example
„c:\Program Files\HamRadioSoftware\MFTeleType\MFteletype.exe"

In the properties table one must set:

XP Servicepack2 ( right click on the MFteletype.exe file to access
the properties tab and select XP Service pack 2) this step need be
done only one time.

Execute as Administrator (each time one runs the program, it is
necessary to right click the .exe file and select to run it as
Administrator. )

Whish you lots of fun with MFTT!
Any feedback is welcome.

Hello Siggi and Group,

i'm very glad to see that you were able to use MFTTy with some
success.
So far i have learned that "tune finder" is needed.
And a Hlepfile in a more readable format?

I will add a graphical, FFT-Based, "tune finder" This might take a
week or two. I will let you know when done.

Please send me your additional suggestions, i will collect and
considder them as my little available time allows... step by step.

[digitalradio] MF Tele Type 3.0 Beta released

2009-01-04 Thread Norbert Pieper
Hi,

the MF Tele Type 3.0 Beta is released!
It took me 3 weeks of hard work to implement essential features.
Now it should be much easier to operate MFTT on any bands in SSB mode.

Here the News:
- Reduced CPU load at lower speeds

- Bandwidth of Tone-Matrix reduced (no longer compatible with V2.0 or
lower)

- FFT Spectrum Display added

- sending of Center-Frequency-Pilot-Tone added to ease initial tuning
and detection of speed. Just select the Pilot tone in the FFT Display
by "Click and Drag" (see screen shot of MFTTy home page)

- Two AFC Functions added: "Pilot-Tone-AFC" and "Regular-Signal-AFC"

- Tune-Meter Display added

- Two Buttons added: "<" and ">" for manual fine tuning.

- Option added for changing "Tx Center Frequency"

Feel free to download from MFTTy home page
http://www.polar-electric.com/MFTT/

Your improvement suggestions and feedback about bugs is welcome.

Hi Steinar,

no problem just click options and enter new Tx Center Frequency
( in the upper right corner ) click apply.

MFTT can handle any Tx Frequency from near zero up to near half of
TX sample rate of soundcard.

[digitalradio] Re: MFTTY 3.0.143 is out

2009-01-13 Thread Norbert Pieper
Hello Howard and all,

In fact the V3.0143 !!DOES!!- send out pilot tone by "SEND" button
or "Send By Enter Key"

The thing is that the pilot is sent out ONLY if there was a
reasonable pause between the transmissions. I did set the pause time
to a value that is equivalent to the transmission time of 4 Words
(20 characters)

This was done to avoid an un-needed "flood" of bothering pilots.

My question to the group is:
In Pratice:
Is that pause time and the effective number of pilots sufficent or
is there higher or lower occurrence of pilots needed?

[digitalradio] Re: New MFTT 3.0.150_Beta

2009-01-27 Thread Norbert Pieper
Hi Paul,

try the new MFTT 3.0.150_Beta it now has a simple FEC in a way that
single damaged characters are suppressed. They will no longer damage
the sync of the whole word.

Do not expect a "wonder", but it will help a bit.

I had to double the pause between the words to be able to distinguish
between of damaged part of character and end of word.
