Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] Discuss Digest, Vol 199, Issue 8
Hi Astrid, Thank you for getting back to me. We are following the steps you suggested. I would like to emphasize that since 2009 we have had an interesting community, but recently some people (founders in Brazil) have left the field or have been dedicated to other tasks. That's why a few colleagues and I are reactivating the social networks, discussion spaces, and collective activities. Would you happen to know who manages the mailing list in Brazil? So that we can connect with this new group we are creating? And according to the document: https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Local_Chapter_Guidelines, we need to present the mission and key members to the Osgeo board, right? Could you inform me of the email we can provide? [OSGeo-Discuss] Local Chapters - BRAZIL
Hello, I would like to initiate a local chapter in Brazil, and while reading the instructions for starting Local Chapters, I noticed the indication to send this first email. The intention is to register the local chapter in Brazil, considering that we have been in existence since 2009 and that our activities and involvement have started to gain momentum in the past year. I would like to present our wiki page: https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Brasil Could you kindly let me know what I can do to get started and follow the future steps? Hello, I think that April would be a very significant date. Although it is in another region of the world, in April we celebrate the Latin American Free Software Festival - FLISOL and it would be a reinforcement in the media to think of close dates for the Osgeo-sprit events, because one event can cite the other, or by being hybrid, can allow the participation and communication of various professionals in the area in themes related to the theme.
