As I wrote in the other thread - but I'd repeat it for the record - this is
no longer the case, thanks to the organisers and to Simone who kindly
accepted to take another slot on Sunday morning. So at the moment we have
a full slot of 90 minutes to cover, on Monday.

Thank you Jachym to have raised this crucial point. I would kindly invite
those available to actively participate (in person) at the workshop to show
up, otherwise I fear that we'll have to drop the idea.

Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] inspire conference 2013 paper and workshop

2013-05-23 Thread Just van den Broecke

Hi Jachym and all,

Good initiative! I don't know if it is too late (busy), but I've also
added my name to the paper. Unfortunately I can't be in Florence but may
add some contribution. From 2009 on we (jointly with a.o. Lat-Lon/Occam
Labs i.e. deegree) have been doing quite some INSPIRE FOSS work mainly
on data transformation, storage, and WMS/WFSs with transformed data,
sponsored by Dutch Kadaster.

This work is available in two FOSS projects INSPIRE-FOSS [1] and Stetl
[2]. These are not OSGeo projects, but build on OSGeo products, in
particular deegree. Given that the paper is about OSGeo products would
this still fit in? I also think data transformation/ETL is a large and
underestimated effort in INSPIRE, (wasn't harmonized data the essence of
INSPIRE?), so IMO should have a place as well.

best regards,

Reason for that: we need to make sure, someone will come and will

Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] inspire conference 2013 paper and workshop

2013-05-24 Thread Jachym Cepicky
Hi Just,

I think, http://inspire-foss.org is great point for the start, gives
nice overview about possible solution of the SDI problem. Stelt.org
seems also be very nice.

There is one change: it's not going to be presentation, but only a
poster, which changes things a bit. I have no clue, how to approach
than. Anyway, we keep in touch via mailing list.
