This has also been reported by users of non-Squeezebox internet radios. I have been chasing it with BBC. Yes, I too have had difficulty this morning, I know it wasn't my radio or connection as I could easily and reliably stream classic fm and such like. Don't know if this is already reported, but I have a Receiver and a Radio at home. They are synced, but sometimes the Radio is switched off when I'm listening to the Receiver only. With iPeng for iPad, closing the app and restarting it, causes the Radio to be switched on again. A good rule of thumb regarding the direction of inheritance of playlists, for adding more players to sync, etc. : The player you sync from (the one you are controlling atm) inherits the playlist. Using the same logic it's easy to understand how to add more players. Ok, it's perhaps not intuitive but it is very clear and logical once you know it. This way it is also logical that you can desync a single player from a bunch of synced players while allowing them to continue playing. If I browse albums they are sorted by artist and title (and year doesn't make sense then anymore) Then there is also the 'Years' menu and within again my albums are sorted by artist and title. This can also be changed with a setting in the squeezebox server to have another sort order (track+album) 5+6+7+8) hard to solve without changes in the server. The main issue is that the direction if this logic has changed several times during the existence of the SBs which still confuses a lot of people. I agree the current solution is OK but don't really understand why SP can't just ask like e.g iPeng now does (if you don't DD in which case it's self-explanatory anyway but which obviously isn't an option in SP... I actually once thought about doing that, too (keeping a menu for each player) to be able to change player settings (alarms etc.) on all players instead of only on the current one as it is now... But as you say it I believe this is the very reason I did not do it in the end: I preferred to have my menus player-independent. old thread I know, but throwing out there that for the iPhone and the BBerry, there is an app called WunderRadio that handles all of the internet radio functions of the Squeezebox, including BBC, they both are foundationally built on the RadioTime database. Well worth the purchase if you want to stream internet radio from the mobile. No. This does already work on the NowPlaying screen, too, just not from the big screen saver display but you can get the popover the same way as on the main screen. I managed to get iPengHD to crash twice. Looking for ways to reproduce them for you yet. I know about holding an item on the screen saver playlist. Other than that I have seen crashes, too, but nothing I can reproduce.
