Hi, this may be an old problem and apologies if so but I couldn't find reports via the search engine or in this thread. I'm running squeezeslave on Ubuntu 10.4 64 bit. I built it from source yesterday: $ squeezeslave -V squeezeslave 1.0-227 Jan 7 2011 20:20:03 compile flags: linux portaudio:1541 debug signals interactive daemon buffer sizes: decoder 2097152 output 2822400 bytes It works a treat generally however some (but by no means all) live streams are shifted up an octave or two so the singers sound like Pinky and Perky. To take an example KOZT. See http://www.kozt.com/koztlive.html for a list of the ways you can listen but http://koztlinux.kozt.com:9000 is as good as any all produce the Pinky and Perky effect. They work fine on my Boom and Classic, just not from squeezeslave. Pitch change is happening because the stream is not 44.1KHz sampling rate, which is the ONLY rate squeezeslave supports. RadioTime.com handles all streams within the Internet Radio menu items. It is possible (almost likely) that your local missing station is streamed in AAC format which RadioTime does not list when on MySB.com. But it may be listed when connected to SBS server on your computer. You would need to adapt these instructions to send IR commands in lieu of the serial commands that I use. I have zero programing experience so I am sure there is more efficient code to do this. Yes, but I havent seen any frame yet who has built in web browsing capabilities. I dont know if that exist. Maybe there are some frames that would support using FTP but that would require a complete different plugin on SBS. I know there are picture frames that support email but in this case we would again need a different plugin on the SBS side. It can be done with an iPad of course but that is an expensive solution. Hi, using Squeezepad 1.7 and Server 7.5.1 - r3083 I'm having an issue when in fullscreen mode. Covers aren't updated although the playlist plays just fine and when tapping and going to the main menu the Connecting to squeezeboxserver screen appears endlessly. The pause, forward and backward controls aren't working either. This appeared after upgrading the iPad to iOS 4.2. Before everything worked perfectly. Is this a known issue? Do you have an authenticated server? Is the password configured correctly in the SqueezePad settings? Did you try a restart of the App? Seems what I needed to do is treat the Linux box as if it was a Windows box, and simply reboot it (I actually did so, and then discovered that that solved the problem). Thought for sure I'd restarted all of the relevant processes. Guess I must have missed one. Back to having flac in the living room. I'm running SC7.5.2 on a QNAP NAS. ACC fails to connect and I need more help understanding how to make it work. The instructions tell to install SQL ODBC drivers.. but where? On the NAS or on my Windows PC? I tried installing it on my Windows PC, but that doesn't help. Then it tells to edit a file called my.tt supposedly stored in a directory on the NAS named /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/MySQL However, there exists no such directory on my NAS...! Finally, nowhere does it say if all this is specific for a Squeezeserver using its own internal MySQL, or what if I'm using an external MySQL installation? I'm using the MySQL server that came with my NAS. [slim] How did my ALL my local FM radio stations get added to my Favorites?
This was an amazingly nice surprise. I'm not sure what I did, but now, I have all the popular/major radio FM stations added to my Favorites. I certainly didnt add them one by one. Best of all, I get artist/song information for them as well. Does anyone know if this is a plugin that I enabled or something I enabled on squeezenetwork.com? Is this feature only available to USA? I would like to know, so other people I know that use SBS can take advantage of this as well. [slim] I've used search and can't find an answer... My art doesn't work...
First: My art works fine once I start playing an album from my network. Assuming I have folder.jpg in the folder, while the track is playing, the art appears. However, if I go into the Album menu and browse through my Albums the titles and artists appear but the art is blank. [slim] Problem Using SqueezePlay
Hi, I'm trying to use SqueezePlay to talk to my Squeezeboxes (as opposed to my PC). When I click an Album, then a Song, it adds the whole album to the current playlist. There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to add a single song. I went to the Wiki and found an article on the SqueezePlay UI and it showed buttons on the right hand side to Add or Play...pretty much what I would expect. I just don't see them. Is there something I have to enable? I origially downloaded SqueezePlay from the nightly build section (it was 7.5.3). Thinking it might be a minor bug, I eventually found an older 7.5.1 version.I'm also running SqueezeServer 7.5.2 on a ReadyNAS Duo. Now, if I press Alt+A, I can get a list of things that includes Add and Play, but it is a bit more cumbersome than I'd like. A little more specifics please What OS are you on and what version of the server . Currently it says that selecting a single song plays the whole album. If you go on Richer Sounds' website and look up the Squeezebox Touch it does say Last Few To Clear So Hurry. Stock availability shows 13 stores with stock in: 3 stores have 2 units, the rest have only 1. Richer Sounds are sort of a special case, they specialise in buying up stock cheaply and selling it until they run out. It is probably just that they got a good price on a batch of Touches and that the promotional activity is just to make sure they get rid of their remaining stock. -- andynormancx Yes, it will.
