Hi wus, I wrote an article about synchronization on my blog: http://www.squeezeplayer.com/2011/12/squeezeplayer-and-synchronisation-with-other-squeezeboxes/ Unfortunately in the Android world it heavily depends on the device whether sync works or not :( bluegaspode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87364 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Should work fine. Log into your MySqueezeBox.com account see if players show up. Sure your login info is correct on your players and LMS server? You had this working before but is now not working on a Mac? Or you purchased the player used and may already be connected to a different MySB account? toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97518 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Do any Squeezeplayers actually have the horsepower to play 192/24 remote streams?
Stutter is generally caused either by CPU or Network. Assuming CPU load on the server has been checked and found to be low. Could it be a network problem ? Perhaps when LMS downsamples direct to Touch it plays as Flac but when using JRiver/Whitebear it is sent as PCM ? bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97244 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Do any Squeezeplayers actually have the horsepower to play 192/24 remote streams?
Thanks to everyone who took the time to try to help. My initial query was in this thread since AndrewFG started it off describing his experiments in higher resolutions. I suppose I'll have to wait for newer versions of Whitebear. It's a great app, just not yet ready for the highest resolution files. In any case, perhaps this thread can stand as a reference for people who have had the same issue. I have no doubt the smart people working on the issue will get it all sorted out eventually. [slim] Sending tracks from iTunes to Squeezebox (mac only, uses applescript)
I have long wanted to play tracks directly from iTunes to squeezebox, using the command line interface. (The reason I want to do this is that I can actually find my music in iTunes, because it has an adequate search facility.) I have an applescript to do this, based on previous applescripts by A. Schroeder and B. Mohr; for these previous scripts see http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth..._from_-iTunes/. To save the script, paste the code into the applescript editor and then save as a script in the location of your choice. You can run it from the applescript editor or from iTunes, as indicated below. **To use, select some tracks in iTunes, and then run the script. You will be asked whether to play the tracks or append the list of tracks to the current LMS playlist. **The script can be placed in ~/Library/iTunes/Scripts and run from the script menu in iTunes. **The script allows paths with any unicode characters. **You can specify the player to be used, using the player id, which is the MAC hardware address of the player. If you don't specify a player, the first player on the LMS list of players will be used. The script starts here: -- SlimPlay -- by F. I made a new variant on the script that I previously posted. The new versions allows arbitrary unicode in paths (so it's good for tracks with titles containing accented characters, etc.). Re: [slim] iPeng, your iPhone Squeezebox Remote, gets even better with version 2.0!
No, not in iPeng Party. Well, you can, but then you'd need the full iPeng to do so. I am pretty sure it's not the iPhone but has something to do with your network. Either your server doesn't accept UDP broadcasts or doesn't reply to them properly. Something like that. My personal guess is that the reason is that your server's address is the same as your gateway address. You are not useing a VPN or something, right? No idea as to why the Squeezeboxes get it right, though, they should do the same thing. If you can open the server's web site in Safari, you should be fine in iPeng with the manual configuration, too. You said you get an empty dropdown box when you tap the no player found message in iPeng Party? Not even Music Sources in there? pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96749 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

thinker wrote: I setup the network -- there's no NAT or anything on the inside. The gateway is the same as my Linux box because they're the same physical machine. Yes. But if the gateway is the same as the server then for a client sending a UDP broadcast, the return answer looks like it's coming from the router and will also not really be distinguishable from the broadcast itself so I'm not sure that this will not confuse the discovery. I don't know what the reason is. Usually the server discovery is pretty much rock solid as long as UDP broadcast works and the broadcast can reach the server. pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96749 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

It shouldn't. All of my devices seem to be able to discover the server fine (SB3 and Boom) and there are no routers between my Wi-Fi access point and the Squeezebox server. thinker's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58382 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96749 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Why don't you just buy? When it doesn't work, use the 'report a problem' button in the order confirmation or in the iTunes purchase history and typically Apple refunds within days. bluegaspode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96749 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
