[slim] Squeezebox can't see mp3 on second line on RSS feed

2013-01-05 Thread mkkyah

Hi,
I have Podcast App activated, added rss feeds through mysqueezebox.com.
No problems so far.
A few days ago some Podcasts started not to play. I thought link was
broken, checked the sources, everything was ok but my "advanced search"
created archive.org rss feeds have "*.torrent" files before "*.mp3"
files under media files. So it seems that Squeezeserver tries to open
torrent files not the mp3. How can I fix this?
I tried to limit archive.org advanced search results to list only mp3
files but couldn't do it, either.

Very interesting work. How's the sync performance between these
devices? How about sync with hardware SBs?

There has been a lot of discussion in this forum about a replacement for
the SqueezeBox. I worked on this problem over the holiday and I think I
came up with a good solution. Using a low cost ARM based system I was
able to build a box that basically does everything the SqueezeBox does
for under $30. Even a unit with analog and optical/COAX SPDIF out can be
built for under $60.

Great project! I ordered the components right after I read this post
(PogoPlug and USB DAC) and finished the installation when the DAC
arrived today.

VAMP showed up immediately as a player on LMS and iPeng, and it works
the same as any headless Squeezebox.

Perhaps I should sell my Duet...

I see that the box is running Apache, and I was able to view an audio
device status page in my browser. Do you plan to add web control of any
of the functions?

Sync seems pretty decent with my Boom and Transporter :-)

How good is "pretty decent"? As good as the sync between your Boom and
Transporter? In my experience even a slight sync problem can make sync
unusable.

I totally agree. I listen to the Squeezes nonstop. When watching
athletic events, I mute the TV and listen to music. The Squeezebox
ecosystem is part of my life. I will not be a happy camper if it should
ever go away. I don't think it will ever go away. LOGITECH wouldn't do
that.

1st of all - dos is dead. You mean the command shell which is cmd.exe -
not command.com.
And if you start a shell or a shell Programm - you can see the initial
shell (that calls the App) and if the app is working and had no menu or
an sub where you can interact with the app you cant write into this
shell.

So maybe

Open a shell
Drop with ur mouse the exe into that shell
Push the spacekey and wrote the parameter
-or make a lnk from the exe and give that lnk your prefered
parameters.

QFT

The only iDevices that I own are the 1st gen click wheel and the 1st gen
iPod Touch. And I have rarely used them. iTunes however, is THE single
worst piece of software I have ever used! I have zero interest in
proprietary, crippled hardware that I cannot customize and use in nearly
any way I so choose. Thus, that rules out any and pretty much all
crApple products. And is also the reason that I will NOT be in the
market for a UE device. Add the ability to use plugins/apps and I would
consider it.
