[slim] mac upgrade 10.9 maverick logitech sb can not connect to LMS
I can no longer get my sb to talk to my macpro running the latest software 10.5 - 10.9 v7.7.3 i've also held the brightness button down and ensured that it has updated. it was playing radio happily until I tried to get my sb to play music from my lms. now it jsut can't connect. I've also turned it off and on. [slim] Long Term Support from Logitech?
Hello Everyone, Long time SB user here. I just purchased my 4th SB Radio, and converted it to use LMS, without incident. I've always assumed that no matter what, I could just run these Radios, without any Logitech support, using LMS. My question is the email pw that I have to enter into each radio to get it working on my server. What happens WHEN Logitech decides to shut down the MySqueezebox sites? Will these SB Radios no longer work without those servers to validate the login? I just bought an UE radio and converted it to the Squeezebox firmware. When it prompted me for my mysqueezebox login I just turned it off. I believe there is some key combination you can enter to skip the
registration (don't remember exactly which one).
Also, it will only validate and ask for your credentials if you do a
factory reset.

Will this help for the more random general issue that the backligth can come on just about anytime ? I have the screen on except in stopped or off then it should be blank (no backligth ) . Bonus case to solve this also randomly happen when there is no server conected ? such as when i turn off player and shut down server , then i just dont expect the backligth to go on ? often at random . Thats true everywhere in Europe go by car to another country and you have interesting roaming cost for the telephone , so not even spotify is a perfect fit , spotify works really well inside the country . But as you say the freways or the smaller country roads does not alwayas have 3G/4g umts . We must be lucky in Swedish cities coverage is really good . I was working in UK last year in Watchet we where staying in Dunster , but cell coverage was not really good in that area , we basically resorted to McDonalds in Minehead to use internet ? Of course, none of the subscription services will work any longer if mysqueezebox.com is ever shut down. Not unless someone can come up with a third party plugin that works for them, which is unlikely for most services.
