[slim] Can't access iTunes Playlists from LMS running on Synology 213J Diskstation
I recently installed the Synology version of the LMS on my Diskstation and moved my music files there so that I could access my music regardless of whether or not my laptop was on network. My problem is twofold. 1) While the LMS scan says that it has located and downloaded my 50 playlists, they don't show up in the Playlists tab on the server interfaces (Squeezebox Classic, Squeezebox Radio, Squeezebox iPhone app.) I have checked permissions on the Diskstation and ensured that they are all open for read/write. I have also pointed the LMS to the top level iTunes Music folder where all the media is stored. I have rescanned the files and cycled the NAS, the Classic, and my laptop on and off several times. 2) It also seems the some of my album art is either missing or does not display on the Squeezebox interfaces (again, SBox Classic, SBox Radio, SBox iPhone app) Everything is visible and works fine on iTunes (both on the laptop and my iPod). I'm not a tech dunce, but can't seem to figure out the issue. Anyone out there solved a similar issue? Thanks for any help you can provide. Re: [slim] Windows 10
Hi, I just tried the latest Windows 10 ISO on my Surface 3 and I can confirm that LMS and Squeezeplay do indeed work. The problem is only that Microsoft does not allow any network communication between a Win 8.1/10 app and localhost. When you try to open the LMS web interface with the new Edge browser, you run into said problem. That is why you have to run the CheckNetIsolation LoopbackExempt -a -n=Microsoft.Windows.Spartan_cw5n1h2txyewy which has been suggested earlier in this thread. There is a slightly more convernient way of achieving the same. Please download the following tool from codeplex: https://loopback.codeplex.com/ You can check the apps that you want to exempt from the loopback network isolation and save. I checked all microsoft.microsoftedge_xyz entries in that list (there were several) and after that I was able to browse the LMS web interface with Edge. Using this tool has the adavantage that you do not need to know the product ID of the app that you want to exempt. Best wishes, Marc. [slim] Remote Streaming stopped working after replacing router
Last night I replaced my Fios router and setup all the port forwarding as it should be. My issue is weird and I still think it might have to do with my router but I'm not sure at this point what else to do. I can login and get to my LMS remotely from the computer I want to stream from with no problems. That right there tells me my port forwarding is working. For whatever reason though, my players aren't able to connect. I was using squeezelite to connect and stream and I've tried squeezeplay as well with no luck. Port 9000 is the port I'm using and it is forwarded as mentioned. What I've noticed on my server is this log, but I'm not sure if it has to do with my problem: Code: [15-07-09 10:04:02.3249] Slim::Networking::SqueezeNetwork::Players::_players_error (337) Unable to get players from SN: Connect timed out: Bad file descriptor, retrying in 86400 seconds Anyone have any ideas? I'm going to reboot when I get home as that's all I can think of to do next. hah kllngtme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30198 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103934 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Can't access iTunes Playlists from LMS running on Synology 213J Diskstation
1) While the LMS scan says that it has located and downloaded my 50 playlists, they don't show up in the Playlists tab on the server interfaces (Squeezebox Classic, Squeezebox Radio, Squeezebox iPhone app.) Scanning an iTunes library on a NAS is a bit hit and miss. As the paths as stored in iTunes XML file are not valid on the NAS itself, it has to somehow map them. Make sure you have set the appropriate parameters in the iTunes section of the LMS Settings. 2) It also seems the some of my album art is either missing or does not display on the Squeezebox interfaces (again, SBox Classic, SBox Radio, SBox iPhone app) Artwork downloaded by iTunes is not available to LMS. Apple never provided an API to access them. If you want to have them in LMS, too, then you'd better embed them in the files using some tagging software. -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
