Re: [slim] Combine a Spotify playlist with local files?

2016-05-24 Thread Mnyb

It works the other way around . In a LMS playlist you can add local
files and tracks from your services such as Spotify and Tidal etc.

PlaylistManager then helps ,because you can permanently add tracks to
your already existing playlists .

Or you can just add Spotify tracks or files to now playing ,and maybe
later save now laying as a playlist ,or overwrite an existing list.

I think you would have to install Playlist Manager and add / remove
stuff via the LMS GUI or a control app.

*Vortexbox LMS 7.8 music on QNAP TS419p via NFS* iThingys/iPeng/Tablets
*Living Room* - SB3 -> Onkyo TS606 - > Celestion Ditton F20s - Zone 2 ->

*Office* - RPi -> Sony TA FE320 -> Celestion F10s / SB3 -> Onkyo CRN 755

*Dining Room* -> SB Boom *Kitchen* -> UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio)
*Bedroom (Bedside)* - SB Touch -> Topping TP21 -> AKG Headphones
*Bedroom (TV)* - Amazon Fire TV (SB Player) -> Topping TP20 ->

[slim] Combine a Spotify playlist with local files?

2016-05-24 Thread spedinfargo

How are most of you handling this scenario? Of course my daughter wants
some Taylor Swift songs on her playlist (she's not fooled by the Kidz
Bop trickery anymore).

Right now I have a button on her Radio that just points to a Spotify
playlist. This is nice because I can add and remove songs for her using
Spotify on my computer and the changes just show up next time she starts
her playlist. Added bonus: I get to add some songs that she "should"
be listening to as well.

So assuming I have some local files that I want to intersperse with that
playlist, what's my best bet? Is there a way to create a playlist of
playlists? One pointing to a local playlist and one pointing to the
Spotify playlist?

Would this update get iHeart radio stations to play on the Squeezebox
Radio?

No, iHeartRadio currently is not supported on the SB.

you're more likely to get responses to this question if you find another
thread about iHeart radio stations or start a new thread with that as a
subject line.

I agree. I should clarify by adding that my experience is with no LMS
running, Boom on and connected to mysqueezebox.com. Squeeze Commander
will not find the Boom, and Orange Squeeze will only find it
occasionally, then will drop the the connection with the Boom. Both are
somewhat better at finding the Boom with my LMS running, but not 100%.
My G2 with Squeeze Commander is flawless in function with both scenarios
and is on kit kat.
