Re: [slim] Boom on top of subwoofer - isolation needed ?
If it were me, I would try my best to separate the Boom from not only vibration but heat. It should be relatively easy to tell if the Boom can safely reside on top of this sub or not. Re: [slim] Remote pc with dac being controlled by laptop/android
Hi, why dint you share your library root directory on the PC and map/mount that share onto your other pc? On Windows use net share on the lib pc and net use on the other. If your not using more than 10 clients at the same time you can handle that with all "enduser" version of Winblows (for more than 10 you need a Server Version) DJanGo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1516 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105705 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] Remote pc with dac being controlled by laptop/android
Good day all. Long gone is my original squeezebox setup, I now have a small pc with windows installed and my music stored on one drive. I have been using remote desktop from my laptop to access the music on my small pc and using windows media player, choosing my music and playing it back via my small pc through my dac to my amp. Is there a way to install some software on my remote pc and control this via my laptop without having to keep remoting in. Re: [slim] Boom on top of subwoofer - isolation needed ?
Probably ok, the only thing in the Boom that could possibly be damaged is the VFD display. And that's probably going to be ok considering the years I had a VFD display in my car and had no issues. [slim] Boom on top of subwoofer - isolation needed ?
Hello I recently purchased on of these for my kitchen Boom: http://www.whathifi.com/yamaha/yst-fsw050/overview I currently have the Boom positioned directly on top of the Yamaha - and it sounds great. However I'm concerned that this may not ne the best arrangement audio-wise, and am also worried that the vibrations may damage the precious Boom. Can any advise ? What is the material for sonically isolating the Boom from the woofer eg. something to place underneath the Boom ? Thanks Touch x 2, Booms x 2, SqueezeCommander on Galaxy S3 (Duet Receiver + Controllers x 2 - semi-retired) swayzak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16575 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105703 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
