The "other players" plugin did this , but it's not maintained and is very likely broken . But why walk back to the other room, use a phone or tablet as remote ? Then walk with me becomes more useful if you forget to forward the playlist ahead of you . Re: [slim] Questions on alternatives to SB
Using a speaker kit from Parts Express I made these bookshelf speakers with a Raspberry Pi and Hifiberry amp inside. It's a very clean setup, connect the other speaker, data if you choose, power and you're good to go. Custom speakers playing whatever you want and controlling it all with a smartphone has coolness factor that you just can't get from something bought off the shelf. It's the cheapest and simplest setup. All it requires is a Raspberry Pi, SD card, a case, power supply and keyboard. Set up the Raspberry Pi, plug it into the receiver using HDMI, plug in the power and your good to go. I can sync this player to any other and control it all from my couch with the keyboard and see it all on the big screen. I can control the music, start a slide show of my photos while listening to music or switch to Kodi and watch a movie. You just can't do this with the Logitech Squeezebox Receivers that I've been using. Re: [slim] Spotify and Synchronization - testers needed
Just so I'm clear your looking to test the official Spotify plugin in a synced environment using either the Radio or Touch, correct? Re: [slim] Spotify and Synchronization - testers needed
Hi Michael, This morning I was playing Spotify through the official app on LMS and all was good. When I turned on a second synced LMS player the system halted and message "invalid username or password" was displayed. Same problem as earlier. I do not know when the issue started again as this is the first time I have synced when using Spotify for a week or so. But when you start to grow a very large collection of "liquid" records, starting a random mix from time to time is a refreshing re-discovery. Sometimes I find myself thinking: what music is this? Nice! I have good taste! scala's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13391 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103738 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I walked into my office a few days ago to a blank display on my SB Classic. I remembered seeing this thread a few days earlier, and after reading the thread and checking my optical outlet for the red light, I ordered a replacement power supply. It's working again--thanks all! boolittlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=23650 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49785 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Triode Spotify App/Helper app not running
uninstalled and re-installed triode's spotify app and now it's working again...I've had to do this multiple times recently. [slim] Triode Spotify App/Helper app not running
getting error msg: connection reset by remote host. I check the settings in lms and run test and it says helper app not running. Using vortexbox. Any ideas why this keeps going fubar? bb1959's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=24793 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106202 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Lucky me. Being an old-fashioned album listener I never felt the need to add some randomness to a playlist. Ever since the first CD players capable of shuffling tracks came out some decades ago I had no use for this feature. I always accepted the order given to the tracks by the artist or the record company as being enough random for me. :) reinholdk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36070 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103738 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
