Re: [slim] Spotify configuration - first time setup & having problems
Sorry - but honestly the hardware requirements for an LMS server are so low it can be scored for free, more or less. I just support it on a VM that runs on the side... it's totally free and I can move it anywhere and anytime I please... Spotify has run like a charm since I did that. ...pablo Server: Virtual Machine (on VMware Workstation 12) running Ubuntu 16.04 + LMS 7.9 System: SB Touch --optical->- Benchmark DAC2HGC --AnalysisPlus Oval Copper XLR->- NAD M22 Power Amp --AnalysisPlus Black Mesh Oval->- Totem Element Fire Other Rooms: 2x SB Boom; 1x SB Radio; 1x SB Classic-> NAD D7050 -> Totem DreamCatcher + Velodyne Minivee Sub Computer audio: workstation --USB->- audioengine D1 -> Grado PS500e/Shure 1540 pablolie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106649 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

You can buy the "SE" new on ebay for less than $600US. Re: [slim] Spotify configuration - first time setup & having problems
Ivica kindly replied, he has moved away from the Thecus box, so is unable to support the packaging of new modules for the NAS box. I was grateful for his support whilst it was there :) I'll be on the current version for now then, so if that turns out to be the root cause then I'll have to accept temporary defeat. 10TB N5200Pro/SB Server 7.8.0 > SB3 > Anthem MRX500 > PMC OB1i & Wafers SB3 > AudioEngine A5 and 3xSBRs sparkle999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9283 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106649 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Add to an already existing playlist can be a plugin . Playlist manager . Saving the currently playing list as some name is the normal functionality. If that to is broken you probably don't have any writable playlist directory setup. Re: [slim] Recording-Software: legal or not?
No the digital copy of a mp3 file is illegal too. Because it is digital it is the same as the original. It is legal to make an analog copy of the mp3 file. I think this whole discussion is as meaningless as "what's the maximum speed you are allowed to drive?". It depends on your country. Laws are different. In Switzerland you're still allowed to exchange 1:1 CD copies among friends and family, or download from their server or their *box account etc. Yes, it's legal. But you're not allowed to use bit-torrent to do the same, as you can't control who you are sharing your files with. -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] Recording-Software: legal or not?
In opposite to downloading, recording music in the background is not illegal, provided that you will not publish the results. More precisely, you are moving in a grey area. I recommend audials tunebite premium: http://audials.com/en/how_to_record_internet_radios/spotify.html You have to spend some money, but worth it. Good quality results, automatically cutten files and easy handling. Hi pablolie, thanks for your advice, appreciated. I'm on v7.8 of the software, AFAIK v7.9 has not been packaged up as a module for the N5200 Pro, so I'm a bit stuck on that front. I've dropped a note to iletunic who may give me a hand, although he may have moved on with his setup by now.
