Re: [slim] Which Streaming Music Service works best for You and your system?
Thanks for the heads-up, I will of course install that plug in. Still, what I would really like is to be able to browse the pdf when streaming, same as in qobuz web player. I don't download much these days. Qobuz metadata for an album does contains link to a pdf booklet if available (it is called "goodies"...) so one would think perhaps there is a way to use this link. Assuming that qobuz api allows this. I'll have to look into this. But please take any further discussion to a different thread. It's becoming rather off topic. Perhaps Michael H. can comment on the possibilities ? The link seems to be documented. I'll have to see whether I can make any use of it. -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Location Services
Environment: Three UE Radios (two converted SB and one true UE) connected via a VPN router from Caribbean to the US. Using iPeng UE to interface I frequently get problems with Pandora (specifically) about the country not being supported. When is iPeng or the radio getting location services? Even with iOS location services disabled, I am still having this problem. Geo blocking is not based on your device's features, but only on the IP address the service is seeing you connect from. That's why you use the VPN: it makes you look to come from a different place. Make sure all your devices are using this tunnel. If it's a soft VPN, then your phone likely is not using it. -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

It has been possible to get around the geographic restriction, but that won't be necessary soon. Re: New music is not in New Music
Ive set the new album limit to a very high value so a basically sees my whole collection by modified date . A snag can be if ripped a long while ago and did not emidiatly put the album on the server albums you added meanwhile shows up before or if the album cover mes from and old backup and just forgot them for 6 months and they have old modified dates as suggested. Paul Webster wrote: > I think it is based on the last modified date of the audio file. Thats exactly how it works. But: if someone set the value for show new tracks to eg 1 there is only a single track. or using "backups" from somewhere and copy the files with the timestamps - it never apears under new unless these files are newer than (set counter) than any other track. Just edit the tags of the files, do a rescan and voila. In this case LMS is very reliable if you understood the logic behind it.
