Also look carefully for capitalisation differences in particularly the
album title.

I have both but I'm going to drop Tidal when the 5 months for £5 offer
ends.
The reason I am dropping Tidal over Qobuz is that the plugin for the
latter is under active development whereas Tidal requires MySB and I
feel isn't likely to get as much development.
I'm on Qobuz Studio so I have access to 16/44.1 but also HD.

Squeezelite definitely is and I imagine Squeezplay also but not so sure
about softsqueeze - I don't think anybody really uses softsqueeze these
days.

It does also depend on the DAC - not all are 24bit capable.

I thought that too but since we released softsqueeze 3.9.2 in November
2018 it's been downloaded nearly 7600 times which is close to the 8100
squeezeplay downloads.

My current 'macOS squeezeplay build'
support > 48KHz by default whereas the 'Squeezeplay for Windows'
still requires you to set some environment variables. See the links to
their forum threads for more details. The versions listed in these
threads are a bit old but you can find the latest builds by following
the builds link in my signature below.

I am using Squeezelite for years now via piCoreplayer and Squeezelite-X,
but until recently never downloaded Squeezelite directly. I think this
is the same for the vast majority of Squeezelite users.

The Wow is for softsqueeze - I thought no one used it these days.

[slim] Does Spotify use to different UIs?

2020-05-12 Thread dolodobendan

Sorry, it's a bit of topic but I know here are people who know these
kinds of things. I'm new to Spotify and googled for a while now but
cannot find anything useful, so I'll just ask here, why there's a
different UI under certain circumstances.

That's Spotify on my PC (Windows 10 App, from the MS Store):

30269

(It could look greener than normal here, there's something funny going
on with color profiles and Chromium.)

That's a family member's notebook (Windows 10 App, from the MS Store,
same version):

30270

Now if I switch computers and accounts, it's the other way round. So the
content of the left bar seems to be profile bound.

But if I log in to open.spotify, it looks the same with both accounts:
"Home", "Search", and "Your Library". Where's my "Radio" and "Browse"
button? What's going on?
