[slim] Napster, LMS 8.0, and what *should* be an easy question...
In trying to fix a long-standing problem I've had since early this year (no volume at all with Pandora), I decided to finally upgrade from LMS 7.9.3 to 8.0. I did a complete wipe and deleted config & log files in order to start fresh. Now that I've restarted, I can't get the Napster app to appear in my menu choices on my Touch. And in the "My Apps" section of the LMS web interface, I only have Pandora there. How do I get the Napster app back on both my menu choices on the Touch display and also on the LMS web interface? Thanks a lot! Not 100% certain that they were related but the setting that was added into the BBC Sounds plugin, as mentioned above, proved to be a great solution. [slim] Launch a track with cli or http, without path.
Is this possible? I would like to be able to launch whatever track I want, using a single command or maybe more commands. I've seen a version where you can launch a track using the exact path. But is it maybe possible to have a command where I put the artist and the song in this command, and then lms plays this song? Even when there are more than 1 in the database? Hi, I've installed Squeezeplay on Ubuntu 18.04 My music is playing OK, but when I go into BBC Sounds Radio, I get, "Unsupported sample-rate" 32616 All of my 'non-joggler' Squeeze Devices are playing the BBC Sounds radio fine, and I'm sure that I had the Joggler playing Radio too, when it had OpenPeak as the OS (rather than Ubuntu). [slim] Can a PC's audio be directed to a SLIMP3?
Hi All, I've got a temporary PC set up as a TV, for some Christmas family watching (for when we don't want to put the projector on). For the audio, I've currently got it connected to a blutooth speaker. However, there's a sound lag, which I assume is caused by the bluetooth. In the same room, there's a SLIMP3 connected to some speakers. The low-tech solution is to add a splitter to the speakers and to have a cable from the PC output to the speakers. But I was wondering if there was anyway for the PC audio to be sent to the SLIMP3 via that LAN cables that they are both connected to. Is this possible? Or should I just do the low-tech version? Yes ... if you install a Squeezebox player on your PC and, if you do not want to touch anything, set it to run on boot/login. Squeezelite or Squeezelite-X are the most likely candidates. [slim] Joggler to play audio on a Windows PC?
Hi All, I've got LMS running on a Linux Server. I've just bought a Joggler, to have in the kitchen, to control playback on a SLIMP3 in there. I'm thinking of getting another joggler, for my office, but the only speakers in there are attached to my computer. Is it possible for the Joggler (with Squeezeplay) to control playback on my computer? I'm assumeing that I'd need a little something installed on my windows PC? I'm fine with that as long as it can be minimised and out of the way. I don't want to deal with an interface on my PC (once it's all set up). That would defeat the point of setting it up with a Joggler. Can this be done? Yeah by all accounts they are good and as my preamp has balanced inputs I was thinking I could also compare internal dac with external clock locked dac to see which wins. I am suspecting my dac as for my ears I still cant find better (different yes but there are some things about it that it still does better than anything at any price). Only alternative I have that can accept my DACs clock output is 1. Transporter with lms running on server. 2. M2tech evo2 usb-spdif connected to fanless pc but then LMS would be in daphile on that fanless pc with daphile pointing at server for storage). I figure transporter is better an most flexible option but the m2tech shouldnt be too much in it got overall sound.
