[slim] is rsync available
I have a ssd hooked up directly to the rpi. One of the biggest task/challenge is to sync the content of the ssd with my music archive on the pc. Is there a way to get rsync binaries on the picoreplayer? rsync should be very lightweight, and I no longer need to install all the samba packages. Don't necessarily need to add GUI support for it in the UI, just make the binary available. The default interface usually doesn't work well on mobile devices. There are ways to automate the process of restarting via ssh. For instance, a utility called Mercury-SSH Commander can be installed on Android phones. But that may feel like overkill, too. LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS. Re: [slim] How do I "restart" Logitech Media Server?
Yes, that does the trick. Thanks! Although I can't help but feel it would still be a nice addition to the server settings, it definitely addresses my issues (the biggest being that I frequently edit the perl files in VSCode from a remote share and restart LMS). slartibartfast wrote: > In material skin you can do it from server settings.[image: > https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210314/27c94ee01ca58b2366a8b62e4d4f6891.jpg] > > Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk mps's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36351 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114094 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] RasPI with Display compared to iPad
Back to the original topic. In the attached picture Im playing Sunday morning Jazz which Im controlling with Material on my iPhone. The small screen to left of centre speaker is an o2 Joggler. Its really a now playing screen but here I have it also displayed on TV. How? There are 2 players. A Pi with Khadas Tone Board thats doing the playing via my AVR in 2.0 direct mode. IPeng on my iPhone is synced with this player and sending the output via AirPlay to the TV with sound off. Why not just use Airplay? The sound is awful compared to the Pi + Khadas which is awesome. Why not use Phillipes Airplay bridge? I could but the Airplay implementation on the LG TV doesnt show time bar and I rather like that.
