I think you should recognize QWERTZ from your own keyboard? It's German layout. In theory it should be possible to select both of them independent from one another but of course whatever frontend you are using must support that as well and then the next question becomes how it achieves that - does it translate the input from Clang or actually change the system locale? In the latter case it should be possible to hack into it and override the `xkbmap` through the logitech user profile. gordonb3's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71050 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115763 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Empty genres
This is very much a long shot, but is it possible that a plugin adds some genres to the list? I ask because about a year ago I had a mystery about old and obsolete interface skins appearing in a brand new LMS installation. It turned out that they were added by a plugin that was no longer supported. That discussion begins 'here' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?113727-How-to-download-detailed-information-about-the-currently-played-track-via-html=1005690=1#post1005690) and continues for the remaining two pages of the thread. LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS. Mostly virtual players, occasionally with SB Radio, Boom or Classic. Re: [slim] Empty genres
But if LMS found a genre in a file then wouldn't it link that genre to the found file? Is there a chance that a database is not wiped completely or removed during a "clear & rescan"? LMS is a server program to run on a computer PC/Mac/Linux, Raspbery pi with PicorePlayer (https://www.picoreplayer.org ) or similar (e.g. CORE 32 https://polyvection.com/en/product/core32/ ) to provide the same mysqueezebox.com service but also access to more services and play music files on a hard drive. A local LMS can also be used to play "https" streams on older devices such as Radio which do not support "https". bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115754 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Well I'm pretty certain that LMS doesn't make this stuff up just for kicks, so these genres must be in the tags, or symlinks to files elsewhere, or playlists with redundant tracks. I not only did that, I moved the entire operation from a Win10 pc to a PCP, and then of course did a full library build. This was after the genre tags were rationalized. Made no difference. After some further changes (on the PCP) I did a full wipe and rescan. Also made no difference. As noted, no actual files are identified as being in the genres, so no tags attached to a file are being read. I assume if there were the files/tracks would be identified. The issue is that a genre appears to be on a list, which is displayed under genres, but no actual files are thus tagged. R.
