There's no reason not to expect this bitrate to increase to lossless as infrastructure expands. Maybe satellite won't be able to get there but terrestrial over the air already has high definition (video as well as audio) available. Throw a fast ethernet link at it and it's a no brainer - it seems like an oversight to include streaming capability as an afterthought. Heck, I bet you could even charge extra for it as a premium service. If the entire internets broke then yeah you'd want a local copy but I think there might be more serious matters than when you will next be able to listen to your favorite music. -- EFP EFP's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48945 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Combining Slimserver and PVR?
Peter, I've finally had a chance to try out your plugin and can't quite get the myth frontend to respond.. (after reading through my post i realize maybe i need to kick over the frontend for the new .lircrc to be used..) irw is displaying button presses from the slim remote.. I've tried out your lircrc file as well as making my own running lircjb with verbose, it seems to be passing the commands to - OUT1 does this make sense? I assume it is right because if lircd is not running then it fails to connect. anyhow assuming i can get this straightened out, you mentioned it would be possible to edit the lirc.pm file for additional remote codes.. can you just take them from an arbitrary conf file like this? http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/ge/UNIVERSAL thanks for this great plugin i can't wait to get it sorted -- EFP EFP's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=25252 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
