It seems that if I do a factory reset & connect to SqueezeNetwork (Radio 1) first & not SlimServer it works fine but, as soon as I connect to SlimServer the silence returns... Just an update on this, I've tried pressing the power button and pressing 3, an annoying tone can be heard for ages until I power the unit off, I've also tried programming xilinx by pressing 1. Everything was working well with SB2 until today, I turned it on and tried to play a song and the SB2 responded as always with 'Now Playing' but no sound comes out of my speakers and the Spectrum Analyzer doesn't move, just a continuious line of '-' on the display! Any ideas? I've tried factory reset and pressing '1' at power on, all to know avail, I can remote stream to WinAmp etc no problem... I didn't let it get that far I noticed other problems as well, remote streaming not working, text in window pane not wrapping correctly. Whilst the 'scanner.exe' process was running, my PC kept giving me warnings about running out of virtual memory which I find hard to believe as SlimServer is the only 'real' application that runs on the PC, plus it's got 1Gb of memory to play with. I'll stick with 6.3.1 for now until I get some confidence in another release. [slim] Another Album Art questions
Hi, I've searched the forums an answer and as yet not found one, so I thought I'd raise a new thread. Just upgraded to the lastest nightly (16/01/2007) and whenever I browse the 'Albums Gallery' I never get the picture of the album displayed just the grey '?' but when I click on the '?' I get the album art displayed. I've attached two files, one 'No_Artwork' showing just the '?' and one 'Artwork' showing the album art. Any ideas? [slim] Web Interface not wrapping in pane..
Hi, Just upgraded to the latest nightly 6.5.1 (16th Jan) and I've noticed that in the web interface (Firefox) when a song is playing the song details goes off the page, you only get all the details if you make the pane bigger on the screen! Has anybody seen this or how do I fix it? FIXED! The problem was solved after I emailed support, this was the suggested fix and it worked - It sounds like you may be running into a version conflict between your old and new Slimservers. Try the following: * Uninstall Slimserver from the Add/Remove Programs box in Control Panels * Delete the install folder (default is C:\Program Files\Slimserver) * Reboot your computer Next... * Install Slimserver 6.2.2 from: http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/SlimServer_v6.2.2/ * Next, using a spare network cable, please hard-wire your Squeezebox to your router, and go through the connection process for "ethernet network" from the remote control. (do not select "Connect to a wireless network") * Next it will ask you to hold the brightness button to update the firmware. Once the firmware update is complete the Squeezebox will reboot. * Finally, disconnect the cable, and follow the wireless connection process one more time. It seems that if I use any fimrware after 28 I see this problem! The router I'm using D-Link DSL-G604T with the firmware 00B02T02.UK.20041126 Another thing I've just noticed since going back to FW 28 is that when I turn off the SB2 the date/time is no longer displayed just a blank screen! Hi, I've done lots of searches on this couldn't find an answer so here goes - I've just upgraded to 6.2.2 with firmware 48 and everything went okay, except when I tried to play some songs as soon as the first song finished the SB2 screen froze and no music would play! I tried pressing 'Play' and numerous other keys all to no avail. I had to power off and on again but still had the same problem whenever I tried to play more than one song.But the same problems does not occur when I stream music to Winamp. So it seems the problem lies with the firmware. I've tried doing a factory reset with no luck. If however I revert back to firmware 28 all works well, no freezing and I can play more than 1 song :-) Has anybody any idea's / clues?
