Re: [slim] Improved Squeezebox config availible for Harmony users.

2014-11-23 Thread Pete7874

I realize this is an ancient thread, but was hoping some of you might
have come across this.

I've run into a problem with activities on my Harmony 900 remote when it
comes to Squeezebox Classic (v3). I have it configured as "I want to
turn off this device when it's not in use", yet, whenever I switch from
listening to Squeezebox activity to some other activity, the Squeezebox
remains on. It doesn't even pause playback when switching to a
different activity. However, when I press the master Power/off button
on the 900, the Squeezebox does get turned off then.

What can be the problem?

I tried adjusting the delays for the Squeezebox, but it made no
difference.

FYI, I also have a Harmony 880 remote, and no such issues there.

Thanks!

I tried both options: Power Toggle as well as discrete Power On and
Power Off. It makes no difference.

Re: [slim] Improved Squeezebox config availible for Harmony users.

2014-11-24 Thread Pete7874

Got it figured out. It was a user error on my part. I had the "Watch
TV" activity configured to leave all other devices "ON", and that's why
Squeezebox was not shutting down when switching from "Listen to
Squeezebox" to "Watch TV". My bad.

Re: [slim] PDA controller solution

2010-09-23 Thread Pete7874

I keep getting "Program cannot start because it is not digitally signed
with a trusted certificate" error when trying to install SlimControl
1.48 on my Samsung jack (Windows Mobile 6.0). I tried using PHM
Registry Editor to bypass the certificate checking during install, but
for some reason it is not allowing me to modify this registry value.

Any suggestions?

[slim] SB3: Auto Advance to Next Folder?

2020-01-04 Thread Pete7874

I could have sworn this used to work before. Now I can't find how to
enable this again...

When playing a Music Folder on my SB3/Classic, I want it to
automatically continue onto the next folder after it finishes playing
files in the current folder instead of stopping at the end of last file
in current folder. Where do I enable this?
Thanks!

[slim] Squeezebox not playing m4a files

2008-06-07 Thread Pete7874

I've got SB3 and

SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 17793 - Windows Vista - EN - cp1250
Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt
Platform Architecture: 586

My player plays AAC streams fine (via mplayer), but it does not play
M4A files. Whenever I press play on such a file, no sound is coming
out, but it does not show an error message either.

What do I need to modify?

Thanks!

Umm... no. Is it mandatory? I try to avoid everything Apple at all
costs.

Can I use something else for that purpose?

Who said anything about .M4P?

[slim] Can't get SB to work? DOA?

2007-12-08 Thread Pete7874

I just got an SB, as a christmas gift, too.

When I plug it into the power outlet, it just shows the Logitech logo
very briefly (maybe half a second) - it scrolls to about a middle of
the display and then it disappears. And that's it. Nothing else shows
on the display. I tried pressing every single button on the remote -
nothing.

I tried resetting it by holding the 'add' buton while connecting it to
power. Again, same thing.

Is my SB defective or am I doing something wrong?

Re: [slim] Can't get SB to work? DOA?

2007-12-08 Thread Pete7874

When I press and hold the left arrow button, it briefly flashes some
text on the screen, but within a split second it disappears, so I can't
even tell what it says.

I also tried a different remte (Harmony 880), and it behaves the same
way, so I doubt it's an issue with a remote.

[slim] SB3: connect timed out: bad file descriptor

2009-06-25 Thread Pete7874

I am running SC 7.3.3 with SB3 under WinXP. I can't seem to be able to
play .ogg audio streams (internet radio). I keep getting "connect timed
out" bad file descriptor" message on the SB3.

This used to work in the past. Not sure what's changed, but what do I
need to do to make it work again?

Here's one example:
http://poznan5-1.radio.pionier.net.pl:8000/radiotok.ogg

Plays fine on my PC.

Thanks!

Anyone?

I thought SC7.3.3 natively supported ogg vorbis streams?

Re: [slim] SB3: connect timed out: bad file descriptor

2009-06-26 Thread Pete7874

Yeah, I have the Ogg Vorbis file type set to "native".

All other stream types work fine (MP3, AAC). All the OGG ones don't,
although they used to in the past. I just don't remember making any
changes in the config that would have caused this, apart from upgrading
to SC7.3.3.

When I add this station as
http://www.radio.pionier.net.pl/stream.pls?radio=radiotok instead of
http://poznan5-1.radio.pionier.net.pl:8000/radiotok.ogg and save it as a

Strange...
