Many thanks indeed bpa...you are a great help and it is most
appreciated.

I will now spend some time exploring all of this. :-)

Re: [slim] BBC App or iPlayer plugin?

2010-02-09 Thread Ponzy

OK, got BBCiPlayerExtra installed and working - great. Now, a very basic
question. I am assuming that I can only access this plugin (and the
Squeezebox BBC plugin) via my local Squeezebox server...so, I have to
leave my PC running? Or buy a standalone server that can be left
running?
Would be nice if I was wrong but that is the way it is working for me.
:-)

I think that would be the perfect solution for me - but I am having an
embarrassing beginner's problem. I have the BBC App installed but...here
is the embarrassment, how do I access it on the Squeezebox Menu? I had
thought there was a choice on the main menu for My Apps but it is not
there, nor is there such a choice in Menus on Squeezebox.com.

I can go to Internet Radio on the main menu and find the BBC there, but
surely that is not the App? Anyway, there is no mention that I can find
there of BBC2 Highlights or Most Popular...

(I do have the BBC Plugin ticked on my PC based Server which is not
seeing the two Booms...am working on that. Could that be the problem?)

Really appreciate your patience bpa...

bpa, I am trying to get my Boom to play iPlayer (7 day) programs. For
example, the one I have selected is Elaine Paige and the web URL is
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00qlkjn. Should this work in
Favorites on the webui (It doesn't - I get the message Error - no items
found)?

Only had the Boom for a week but am loving it more and more...!
