I am not talking about gapless playback, I am talking about a small piece at the end actually got chopped off. I am experiencing the same problem with WMA lossless tracks. The last second or two is truncated when listening with SlimServer/SqueezeBox, but is present when I listen using Windows Media Player. I don't have a solution, just sympathy. -- arturo arturo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5795 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27739 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] My various artists ARTISTS are missing
Just upgraded to 6.5 (running Win XP Sp2, SqueezeBox v3), upgraded to the latest firmware release, cleared and rescanned my library. Now, when browsing by Artists, I no longer see any artists that appear only on various artists compilations. If I browse by Album or by Music Folder, I can find and play the tracks, but they still don't show up in artists view. Clearing/rescanning does not fix the problem. -- arturo arturo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5795 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27758 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Re: My various artists ARTISTS are missing
Nope, that's how I had it set already (and I think I've been current for the last several official releases). To be certain, I reset all the fields, cleared and rescanned again, and I still can't browse to artists that appear on various artist compilations when I browse by artist. Interestingly, there's an artist called various artists, but when I click on it, the server goes to the top of the browse list for every album in my library (instead of the VA collections only). If I select any single album from that list and click on it, I go to a screen that says 0 albums with 0 songs by 0 artists. Any thoughts? -- arturo arturo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5795 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27758 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

JJZolx Wrote: Arturo, I suspect your issue is something different. The bug we're talking about is fairly uncommon. Try posting in the Beginners forum and I'm sure you'll get some good suggestions on how to begin troubleshooting your problem. Ok, I've started a thread there as well. I still wonder if my problem is the same as this thread though. So I started using the debugger to log the scanning process. I see that SS finds the album directory, sees 22 items inside it (22 songs), then descends into the directory and decides that each index is not a list type and skips it. For example, here it is looking at song #16: 2006-06-04 10:50:48.8902 index: 16 2006-06-04 10:50:48.8902 itempath: and file:///E:/Muzak/Wire/Pink%20Flag made 2006-06-04 10:50:48.8903 isList() == 0 2006-06-04 10:50:48.8903 not a list: 2006-06-04 10:50:48.8904 Skipping unknown type: So, why didn't it recognize the WMA file as a known type? -- arturo arturo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5795 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24323 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

[slim] Re: Empty Library
I'm having the same problem with a new installation. Windows XP pro, sp2. Zero artists, zero albums, zero songs, empty. Rescanning does nothing The server is now rescanning your Music Library appears, nothing happens. I've ripped one CD to my music folder (using Windows Media Player). If I browse to the music folder (in Slimserver 6.2.2), I see the artist directory, the album directory inside it, but no song files. They really are there - *.wma. Restarting the slimserver DID NOT fix the problem. -- arturo arturo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5795 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24323 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

An addendum - I am able to add playlists to the library (radio stations), but nothing that I've ripped from a CD. -- arturo arturo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5795 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24323 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
