Hi!

Just a small recommended setup:
Squeezebox + Spotify + Remoteless + Dsbridge + Iphone/Ipod touch = !!!

Remoteless (http://remoteless.no/) is a nice remote control app for
your Iphone/Ipod touch.

The plug-in streams whatever you are playing (ie radio stations,
selected artists, albums, tracks, playlists...).

You use your normal Spotify-window to manage what you would like to
play (ie you can not change artists etc by the Squeezebox remote or
Squeezecenter). The full information (song title, artist, album (ie the
information above the album art in the Spotify program)) is displayed
and even the album art is displayed :-)

320 kbps is the default streaming rate).

1. Open the file dsbridge.ini with your editor of choice (Notepad

I noticed that the info regarding played songs are transmitted twice to

One solution is of cause to disable the scrobbling to

suggestions on what to do?

Re: [slim] DSBridge - A simpler way to stream Spotify

2009-07-04 Thread baz

One improvment idea is to continue the work with the metadata. As it
looks today each played song is registered twice at Last.fm (if you are
using that service).

Example: Both
Peter Tosh – Legalize It
and
Spotify – Peter Tosh – Legalize It
are registered as two separate songs.

Perhaps the Spotify-text in the metadata can be parsed out?

Yes, the settings are preserved but you have to press right on the
remote for all old settings.

What I am missing is a Keep old settings alternative so that you
don't have to spend time (OK, it takes only 20-30 sec) accepting your
old settings for IP-address, DNS etc.
