So, has anyone used the Philips TSU9600i or TSU9400i remotes? Do they have a browser? Anyone have suggestions? I wouldn't even be opposed to building my own remote on a tablet with IR using third party software. [slim] Universal Remote Control
I am looking for a way to control my home theater, and also access the web interface from my 4 transporter/squeezeboxes. Does anyone have any experience with a remote that has wifi built in and can be easily programmed to control various home theater equipement (rotel, integra, moxi, htpc/imon)? I was thinking about the Acoustic Research wifi remote. What about the new duet? Is that a universal remote as well? [slim] Nokia 770 Skin and song scanning
I was wondering if anyone knows how to add song scanning (ie moving to a different part of the current song playing) via the nokia 770 skin. Or any browser interface, for that matter. I have seen it done via the song scanner plugin with the remote, but I don't use the remote for any of my transporter/squeezebox's. [slim] Problem With Sirius Plugin
I am running Slimserver 6.5.5 on Ubuntu 7.04. I have the latest plugin installed for Sirius and can make a connection. When attempting to play a radio station to a softsqueeze player, I get an error that says WMA Convert Error, Check File Type Anyone know what this could be and how to fix it. I finally figured out the various artists issue. Thanks everyone for your help. Now, I have another strange problem. If I scan my library with the playlist folder populated with playlists, I lose over 800 artists. The playlists are there, all albums show up, and even all the songs, but the artists list is very wrong. After stripping out the ALBUMARTIST and ALBUM ARTIST tags with MP3Tag, I noticed that I had another artist field in mp3 only tags called BAND. I removed that as well. Then I tried it again, and it was a little better, but still several hundred artists are gone (800 about). I then looked at my compliation albums that I ripped in FLAC, and there was another field, called ENSEMBLE, with Various Artists in it. I removed this as well from all files. I rescanned again, and it was better, but I still was missing 600 artists. I gave up, reinstalled 6.3 and rescanned again. Now, I have a bunch of albums that are cut up. All are various artists albums, and I could not figure out what the heck is wrong with them. I restored the old, unedited files that worked fine, and rescanned. Same problem. All my compilation albums messed up. I would have three albums with the same name, with 4 or 5 tracks in each one. All the tracks and artists were there, but I suddenly had 70 more albums. I was baffled, so I decided to remove all my playlists and rescan again. Once the playlists were removed, my libary returned to normal. I then put the playlists back in the correct folder, and had SS just scan the playlists. Everything was fine. Sorry about the long story, but I am getting to the point Finally, I reinstalled 6.5.1, removed the playlists again, and scanned. MY LIBARY DATABASE IS CORRECT!! But...when I click on the artist Various Artist it shows all my albums (not just the compilations). 4. I click on any album, the contents are blank 5. Click on various artists in the path above (Home/artists/various artists/...) 6. I get all my compliations. to get this to work. my album count, artist count, song count was accurate in 6.3. Now, in 6.5.1, my library is jacked. I would like to get it to work correctly. I ripped all albums using Easy CD DA. I modified the tags either with Media Monkey or Tag Rename. I do have Various Artists in the Album Artist section, for albums that were compliations albums (like AM Gold 1969, movie soundtracks, etc). Do I need to take out the tag, and if so, how. Just leave the section blank? Or do I need to reconvert the entire lot. I use .flac files, for the most part, but i have an mp3 album I created out of singles. What gets me the most is that the MP3 files seem fine. The flac files are what are jacked. I have a 500GB, 20,000 song library, it takes forever to unistall 6.3, reinstall 6.5, scan, find out it is still broken, and then uninstall 6.5 and go back to 6.3 and do it all over again. on the website, it is now asking for a username, password, and a randomly generated set of numbers that you have to type in from an image on the login page. [slim] Slim Server 6.2 Issues
Installed the new software today on a test machine with the same files as my real server. I lost 15 albums, 8 artists (probably associated with the missing albums), and about 150 songs. If I uninstall and go back, the missing albums, songs, and artist's appear again. One in particular is The Hold Steady. Just completely gone. I have no idea what is wrong, but my library had (using v6.1.1) 1285 albums, 17,266 songs (and this matches exactly what itunes says)and 1508 artists.
