Restarting my pc is the only way to get the server running again. It
will run for a time after that but eventually SlimServer crashes while
browsing around in the interface.

[slim] AARGGGHH Crash City!
Recently I'd upgraded to 6.5 and all was fine for a while til I started to try and get it to read the album art downloaded by Itunes 7.0. I couldn't get this to work and then started to see some really wierd issues with the way 6.5 was organizing things after some rescans and adds to my library. So I decided to go back to 6.3. After my initial install and library scan in 6.3 all was great and it even imported all the artwork downloaded by the new version of Itunes so I was a happy guy. I didn't do much else with it and went out for a few hours When I got back, slimserver had crashed...and I couldn't get it to start back up. I've tried sever re-installs, and it never quite finishes scanning my library before it crashed out again. The only way I can get it to run again is either re-boot or re-install and then it just crashes out again eventually after a few minutes. I've never had any problems with slimserver, other than a bug here and there. Now I can't even get it to run. Once Itunes went and did it's thing (it probably got art for around 60% of my library) I went through and painstakingly added all the rest myself. Took forever. Well at least I can see those. [slim] Skin Problem in 6.5
So I'd gotten 6.5 up an running without any problems and I start looking at the various skins available (usually use fishbone). I selected tHe moser skin (think that's what it was called) just to see what it looked like. After seeing it, I decide to change back to Fishbone and lo and behold, there are no choices available in the selection dropdown for interface. Well I'd opened a ticket with support concerning this issue and they have acknowleged the bug and are chalking it up to bug # 2095 - and then they closed the ticket. So far it's just a few of my cd's that are affected with this problem so I can jsut rip those to aiff for now. The last e-mail i got from support stated that From what I understand, the developers are reviewing the details for an upcoming update. We'll see what happens. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Disabling the AIFF FLAC and AIFF MP3 didn't help. After looking at bug #2095 I'm pretty sure that that is the issue I'm having. This does not affect all files I rip using apple losslessand on the cd's that are affected even then not all the tracks have this issue. But one thing that is sure is that if a track has the problem it ALWAYS has the problem. And playback in Itunes is flawless (except that it's in Itunes!). I've been using one particular cd as the guinea pig for this issue. When I rip it using 320 KB aac or mp3 or as wav files there's no problem at all with playback. Gildahl, I'll try ripping it as AIFF and see if that has any problems. Is this a lossless format as well? And thanks again for all the help people. Im having a problem with playback of files ripped using apple lossless. The very beginning of the tracks (the very first split second) are cut off. Very annoying. I don't know if it will help but try these two things. First of all, you should have at least 10% free space on any hard drive, optimally 15 - 20%. After freeing up some space I'd try defragmenting the drive. When a volume get's really full like that things can get pretty messy. Is your phone a cordless? If so, that sounds like it could be the problem. Wireless routers broadcast in the same frequency as some cordless phone models2.4 Ghz I think (could be wrong though). Greetings allfirst post. Will be getting my SB3 for xmas and am playing around with softsqueeze. I'm adding a radio station manually using the stations url. It says the following on that page, just below the box where you put the stations url: Some providers have premium subscription options. To enter your username and password for an Internet Radio provider, or configure how you view the provider's stations, click here. You can also choose the Internet Radio section on the Server Settings page. Problem is, when I click here I get a page cannot be displayed error and when I visit the Internet Radio section on the Server Settings page I don't see anything pertaining to the station who's url I've added, or any way to add another url. Does anyone know how to help?
