[slim] Podcasts - sync / play at home
I subscribe to a load of podcasts on my Android phone which I play in the car or via headphones when I'm out and about. I'd like to be able to play them on my Squeezebox devices at home and be synced so that I can restart podcast playlist where I left off etc I've tried various phone apps which claim to emulate Airplay but without success. I cannot root my phone as various other things would stop working. How do other folks use podcasts on Squeezeboxes? It pretty much sorts itself out. If you go back to an earlier version of the server software the squeezebox will prompt you to 'update' the firmware to the appropriate earlier version. I'm running the PSP on v2.6. I think the original problem is simply down to me copying the URL from my laptop which had (and was presumably ignoring) the erroneous 0. I can connect the PSP to the web ok but when I try to use http://10.0.0.06:9000 (which works fine on my laptop) I get the message "Communication with the server failed. [slim] AlienBBC problem
Hi, I am trying to get AlienBBC 0.97 to work on 6.0.1 on XP (the problem was the same on 0.94 on 6.0 however). I can manually play the streams through mplayer, and I see all the Alien UI in Slimserver but after 2 'Connecting...'s, nothing ever plays. From the log I can see an error readlen undef: (Unknown error)10054 end of file or error on socket, opening next song, (song pos: 0(tell says: . 0), totalbytes: ) which I've not seen mentioned before in any of the recent threads on Alien problems. Any clues out there?
