Hi, I am having trouble to connect to the squeezecenter also. I have disabled the firewall completely (for the tests). I am having trouble from remote (other pc) as well as from the pc running squeezecenter. Sorry to tell that the PC hosting squeezecenter is a Vista machine ... The error number in Telnet by the way is "Could not ... on Port 23 (???) I entered "o xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9090" in the Telnet command line on the remote pc and "o localhost:9090" on the pc histing squeezecenter. Hi all, thanks for the help, guys! The "a" was the thing. I had the 0.67 - now with 0.67a it's running with no error. I am so pleased because to choose from the big screen of a PC is so much more comfortable than from the controller's. And the Web interface of the squeezeserver is ... a web interface. What can you expect from a Web interface? Web interfaces are good as long as there are no other interfaces. It is still on a intelligence level of IBM's 3070's dumb terminals ... Thanks again. Ive got the same problem. [slim] Moose not working with 7.1
I have been using Dr. Lovegrove's Moose because it is a much more convenient way to choose CD's by cover and also the tree-style organisation is much better than the Web interface of the SC server (not to talk about the slow and tiny controller of the duett). Having installed 7.1 Moose throws an exception "Problem MySql scanning: Unknown column 'rating' in 'field list' " Anyone that knows help for this? I had a similar problem. It appeared that I had a link in one of the folders directing to the top folder again. So, basically I had an endless loop for SC to work on. SC 7.01 had no probs with that (obviously broke up or had a better algorithm to recognize loops), but 7.1 looped forever. Removing the link solved the problem. [slim] MP3 & m4a playing 4-5 seconds (no sound) and looping
Appologies for asking here again: I am quite sure that this have arleady been reported and maybe solved, but I do not find the solution. Seems I do wrong searches ... here is the problem: At certain files - mp3 as well as m4a files, when playing them, squeezeserver (7.0.1) starts playing for a few seconds, but no sound can be heared (neither trough squeezebox nor through softsqueeze). After 4-5 secs it resets and starts again, but never any sound is there. It loops forever. The file can be played with mediaplayer and iTunes on the machine that runs the squeezeserver. Any help?
