Deleting .m3lib sorted things out for me :-) Although it did mean revalidating 10,000 songs, but MusicIP managed this overnight. You are right about it being MusicIP that is causing the problem. I watched part of the scan in Squeeze Centre and could see it reading the files in from the MusicIP scan once for \\server and once for d:\share. There must be a way of clearing Music IP. In fact I must have done it once because I had this problem when I re ripped some files to FALC instead of MP3. To change the path in MusicIP, I went to preferences (under the file menu), I think the option was folders or library. MusicIP seems to have sorted itself out (I appear to have the right number of tracks showing now). However Squeeze Centre is showing lots of duplicates. I am hoping that another rescan tonight might sort that. Refreshing songs in MusicIP took rather longer than my forecast hour, closer to three! I was also adding ~25 CDs to the library last night, so I don't know what state the MusicIP library was in when Squeeze Centre did its nightly rescan. It may be that MusicIP was still in a confused state. At one point the track count was going up and down like a yoyo. I will force a rescan when I get home and report back later tonight or tomorrow. I have bitten the bullet and changed the path in both MusicIP and Squeeze Centre. I am refreshing the MusicIP library now, which is taking a while (I reckon an hour) I will then rescan over night in squeeze centre. I will try and update this thread tomorrow. It took me a while to find out as Avast was running on my server and it does not seem to issue any notification when it takes this sort of action :-(. Folks I am running Squeeze Centre on a Windows Home Server and I have also lost the ability to scan under 7.0.1. When I click to rescan the screen immediately reports that the scan has been done, even though it hasn't. The is no detail available on previous scans or info on the progress of a current scan. I have just uninstalled 7.0.1 and installed 7.0. this has kicked off a rescan that seems to be proceeding normally (I can see progress on the status tab). From what I could see of the old log file the scan was not being initiated (the scan log did not change).
