Spooley, yes, exactley. Use a remote upstairs with the slave to control the SB downstairs and see what is being displayed upstairs. As far as the other guys' comments, I don't know if that $199 price is the right price point or not; it may be for some. I'd pay it. [slim] Airport Express With SB3
I currently use my SB3 running wirelessly on my MAC OSX to a pretty decent audio system; NHT speakers, Velodyne Subwoofer, Parasound HCA 1000 power amp, etc. I have an older NAD intergrated amp used to power my outdoor Bose speakers that I primarily use in the warmer months by the pool. My question is this: Should I invest in another Squeezbox or purchase an Apple Airport express for that application. I've heard good and bad reviews on the airport, such as: it will screw up your current wireless system; or, it's the best thing since sliced bread. It's only $99 and outside listening is not that critical as inside serious listening, but is it worth it? Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks, GS p.s. Yes, that's about it. right now, my secondary system for poolside is the NAD and I use an iPod connected to the amp with Monster Cable resulting in pretty good sound. Also connected is an XM radio, a CD changer and a NAD tuner. Actually, the NAD is in my basement near a window, so your idea of a second SB3 outside is a good one 'cause remote control is essential. No password is associated with my system. What do you mean by update? Now I am having trouble playing music; the player is skipping and the scrolling is jerky. [slim] squeezbox on a Mac
I am currently running slimserver 6.5.1 with squeezebox 3 on my PC and it works fine. My question is this: I Just purchased a Mac and downloaded slimserver for Mac. Trouble is, it cant find my squeezbox. Are you not able to run on two systems? I shut down PC, but it still does not recognize my player. Any suggestions?
