That did indeed fix the problem.
Thanks!

Re: [slim] Broken on Mac OS X 10.4.9

2007-04-23 Thread tome

I have this same problem. I have been happily running 6.5.0 and many
other versions on my Mac and I upgraded to 10.4.9 and now Slimserver
won't start. I have done all the suggestions above. My (re)install
for a single user didn't cause any problems but still won't start. I
wiped it again and installed for all users, again with no problems but
once again it won't start.

I don't see any messages in any log.

Any suggestions?

Tom

ah, wait there it goes. Now it has updated Storable

And I think it worked! SlimServer is running and scanning my music so
I can't test it until later.

Thanks!!

  normal?

When updating it will rescan all your collection. This can take a
 moment
or two :-). If you interrupt it (as you did with the reboot :-/) the
 scan
will be incomplete and you will miss some of you music when browsing
 the
collection. Just be patient and let it finish. Start a rescan (Server

 settings) before going to sleep.

It ran completely out of control for 2 hours. Unless the rescan was
slowed down intentionally in 6.2 (haha) I don't think it was
 rescanning.

[slim] Re: 6.2 Mac problem? and question

2005-10-24 Thread tome

Well, I answered both my questions. The install caused Perl to spin out
of control. It ran for nearly 2 hours at 100% cpu for no apparent
reason. Rebooting the machine put a stop to it and all seems normal

Also, I see that SqueezeNetwork doesn't work with the original SB. I
put is in my menu and went there to find it says Needs SB2 (or
something to that effect).

Thanks for all the help though! ;-)
