Played with album review over the weekend. Decided to check my installation and found that when I extracted MHCPAN there was a problem and not all of it ended up with my plugins. Did it over and now AR/Bio work perfectly. Lesson learned. Thanks again for all the help. This is a great plugin. Brings more than just a review or bio. You also get similar artist, influenced artist, influenced by artist, etc.. For anyone who hasn't tried it that enjoys reading liner notes with their music this is a musthave. New to allmusic and album review/biography so can't speak to the speed other than to say it seems fast enough on my Duet. Still have a problem with Album Review. On the duet it is now all computer stuff like: blonde on blonde ifa href=http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p= and Goes on and on. Still hoping for a fix or suggestions for what I can do on my end. Michael Just back in town and have been working on this. Loaded the MHCPAN package and it seems to have helped. Strange behaviour. Some albums and biographies show perfect while others still display things like this: blonde on blonde ifa href=http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p= and It may go on for ~20 lines or may only be 5 or 6 lines. Makes it difficult to read. May just be a problem with Allmusic. Haven't checked to see if this is also the display on the web interface. Will let you know when I get back to the house. I've noticed a speed up in allmusic in the last 2 months. They must have updated their servers or something. They used to hang a lot and you had to be patient, but now they seem pretty quick. Am using it at the office running Softsqueeze and was enjoying the review as I listened. Abruptly, it ended, telling me read more on the web. Very dissappointing. I'm sorry about this. The issue here is that it's pretty complex getting that data. The plugin has to do several lookups to get that far. And as allmusic.com usually is pretty slow, fetching the full review can take too much time to respond. I had envisioned sitting in my living room listening to my library of music as I read complete reviews and biographies on my duet controller. This should be possible if you have the latest plugin version. Review/Bio are accessible from the track information menu. Was I expecting to much? Michael, Sorry about the c word. Really do like the pluggins and don't mean to be negative about them. I did find when I got home and tried them on my real server that the functionality was better but had a problem with the display on the duet. It would give me a line or two of the biography then a lot of computer type command or language then another line or two of review. Will try to get by the house and copy it so you can see what I mean. Went by the house and took another look. Using the web interface I get a great screen that has the beginning of the review or biography with a link to the full review/biography. On the duet I get: blonde on blonde ifa href=http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p= and so on for 6 or so lines then 3 or 4 lines of review then more of the computer stuff. Biography is the same sort of display. Is there anything that can be done about this? Can Album Review/Biography be pointed to a different site? It's working for me right now. Sometimes they're suffering from a little intelligent caching system.
